Ok, I see
-
The relationship with the family is amazingly horrible.
-
yep.

"now Amanda, we have something to talk to you about." my dad says slowly, seeming to draw it out. "Yes?" i ask not really wanting to hear. Samuel is messing with his fork and Micheal was still sucking the rainbow lollipop. i was starting to get suspicious at my family's behavior. At that moment the house started to shake, and the table jumped up on me and i hear my dad exclaim as the table comes back down and hits his legs really hard. Micheal starts crying and Avery moves to comfort him. From my seat at the table i can see that my dads legs have started to bleed. it looks like our glass table bottom broke and hit his knee. Samuel points out hurriedly to my dad, "Dad! your leg's bleeding!" Avery looks up...

I get up and run out of the kitchen door to grab the first aid kit and Samuel is quick behind me. My dad was quick into shock and Avery seemed to be struck dumb as she holds the crying Micheal. i run to the bathroom and open the cabinet with the first aid kit. i quickly squish a spider and grab the kit. i run back to the kitchen where Samuel was already trying to patch up my dads leg. from the look of it wasnt big but it was deep and that was why it was bleeding so much. my dad started to look faint. it looked like Avery had passed out already. Micheal was still crying though the volume had gone down a considerable level. we got dads knee patched and Samuel covered it. we managed to get my dad up and to push him on the couch a little harsher than we mean to. Samuel volunteered to sleep by him and so i pried Micheal from Avery's grasp and then went to bed in my own bed.

that night i dreamed of my my mom's last moments. i was in the room opposite her, and Samuel was cradling me. i was only a year younger but he acted like i was 10 years younger. i could hear her screams as she tried to give birth to the baby that had killed her. i remember shivering in his arms as i waited for dad to come tell me i had a new baby sister. i was 6 at the time and got all excited for it. then her screams suddenly stopped and my dad came out a little bit later, crying the biggest tears i had ever seen. he had a bundle in his arms and i saw it wiggle a little bit. "say hi to your new baby sibling guys." my dad said with zero excitement and 100% grief. and then i woke up.

NEXT DAY
i got up at 4:38 a.m and started to get ready for school. i pulled on my hip huggers and a madras shirt. i went to the upstairs bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth. Nobody was up yet, that i know of. i tried to pull on my sneakers but those have long gone me, so i grabbed a pair of Samuel's old nike's and slipped those on. by this time it was 4:56 a.m and i had to go get Samuel up if he wasn't already. i then remembered everything that happened last night and i race down the stairs.

Samuel was on the couch with my dad, and he was awake, which wasn't normal. Usually Samuel liked to sleep in.
"You're awake?" I whispered, so I wouldn't wake up my dad, who was still sleeping. Samuel nodded. "I couldn't sleep. Not after..." He struggled to find a word that qualified for the mess that was yesterday. -
“Yeah… ok.” We stare at each other for a few moments and then I break eye contact with him and say “You should really be getting ready. The bus comes in 15 minutes.” As I say this, he is slowly getting of the couch and once he’s off he speeds to his room. Samuel has this thing about literally never being late to anything. One smile for the day.
To be continued… sorry! Again again I know! -
I'm out the door after i make Micheal his stupid breakfast. i just made a pb&j and left it on the table. he'll find it... anyways, i have to walk for exactly 13 minutes to get to the bus stop so that gave me lots of time to think. i thought about my dream last night and the pain of the experience keeps rolling back to me. i remember all the feelings and thoughts that had come through my 6 year old mind. so it turns out when my dad said sibling he actually meant a sibling, because it wasn't a brother or a sister. they were a unisex child. that child died a year later from RSV. i was just turning 7 that month. i finally got to the bus stop and then noticed Samuel was right behind me and looked like he was speeding to catch up to me. i guess i must have started to run. i can see someone from the other direction coming over here. i can hear the bus from down the road and i stopped.

Samuel caught up with me, breathing heavy. "Lets get to the bus."
I pointed to the other direction, where the person running towards us was. "Who's that?"
Samuel paused, looking at them. "I don't know, but there's only one way to find out!" He started running towards them before I could stop him. -
As we got closer I realized that it is Mackenzie! We stopped at the bus stop and it looked like Mackenzie started to run towards us.
-
When she finally caught up with us she smiled. "Hi guys!" She said eagerly.
"Hi Mackenzie!" Me and Samuel both said at the same time, and we all started talking. -
Mackenzie is a boy. Sorry.
