  Darkness
  
  The waves rolled onto the beach. Crashing. Then a shadow falls over you and your pet cat, swift paw. You scream. Your older brother comes to your aid. He says “This, this thing, it....killed mom and dad.” You feel like the world is falling apart. But you and your brother, Tom know you must save yourself too. So you run. You run left and Tom runs right.
  As the memory rushes into your mind you feel sadness. Now you live in the forest. Alone. Swift paw was the only other pet you ever known. Now she was gone. You pet your new pet cat, night star. She is nice, but you still wish for swift paw. Then you see a movement in the bushes. “I cannot defend myself, I am twelve!” You think. Then you see swift paw come from the bushes. “Swift paw!” You say. Swift paw rushes to you. Then she cuddles you. But then you see the monster. The monster that killed mom and dad. You feel anger rush though your body. But then a question comes to your mind. Will you be able to defend yourself and not get killed? You grab your bow and arrow and start shooting from a far distance. You see that you have wounded the monster. And you think “I shall destroy you, monster. For you killed my parents!” Night star and Swift paw jump onto the monsters back and scratch it very badly. Then the bush moves again. Then Tom comes out. “I thought I would never see you again!” Says Tom. You reply “We still have a battle to fight!” And then, brother and sister, you and Tom, swift paw and night star charge. “I will end what you started!” You yell.
