Okay, this is VERY long, so yeah. Also it isn't completely finished, and if you guys like it then I can add more. Remeber to tell me what you thought if you do read it.
Prologue
“Did you see that?” whispered the sleek brown tabby. A fluffy russet she-cat jumped to her paws. “Yes,” she murmured. The sound of the soft breeze slipping by echoed around the cave walls. Silver moonlight lit the ground. The tabby tom looked down past the hill.
“I had a dream.” he said, “A dream that showed me a lush green land filled with cats. Prey was plentiful, and all was good.” He gazed around at the freezing, snow-frosted cave. The she-cat stood up. “I too, had a similar vision. And I saw four cats ready to fulfill a prophecy, united against the darkness.”
The two cats stood side by side, pelts brushing as they looked up at the sky. “They will come,” the tabby whispered, “The four cats will come, and save generations beyond generations to come. And they won’t do it alone.”
Chapter 1: Wave
“Let’s go hunting!” Wave exclaimed to her sister one newleaf morning. “Of course!” Meadow agreed, while practicing her pounce on a leaf. The forest was filled with prey, and they returned two rabbits, a crow, and a squirrel. Forest and Dark picked the squirrel and crow, so the sisters ate the rabbits. After they finished eating, Wave said, “I’ll go and patrol the area just to make sure no twolegs are around.” “Sure,” accepted Meadow, “Make sure that we don’t have any lazy kittypets on our territory.” She growled. Wave headed off in the direction of the kittypets, but instead of finding a twoleg, she found another cat.
“What are you doing in our territory, kittypet!?” she growled, teeth bared.
“Sorry, sorry! I didn’t know that this was your territory!”
“That’s okay, I shouldn’t have expected you to know the different borders.”
“You're not mad at me?” asked the fluffy white kittypet.
“Everyone makes mistakes.” she assured him.
“Thanks! I bet that if a different cat had found me, instead of you, they would rip me to shreds.”
“You know what, you could even hunt in our territory if you want.”
“Sure, but I probably won’t need to, since my owners will give me kibble.” The tom exclaimed.
“Oh, I have to go now. How about we meet again soon?” questioned Wave.
“Of course!” he answered. Wave slowly walked away.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
When she returned, Meadow asked if there were any other cats. “Nooo…,” Wave hesitated, not liking that she had to lie to her sister, and best friend. She sat down and began to wash under the shade of a tree. “Okay, I’ll go out and get some prey.” replied Meadow.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
There she saw it. Meadow, Dark, and Forest were standing over the kittypet that Wave had met earlier. He looked the same, but he was badly injured. “Oh no!” she screeched as she looked into Dark’s hostile eyes. “You told us that nobody was in our territory!” he growled. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” she begged pitifully. “I thought he meant no harm.” “No harm! Are you kidding me!? Can’t you see! We’re covered in blood, and our bodies are so sore. You think this happened to us out of thin air! No way! He did this to all of us, and he told us about what you did, letting him hunt in our territory.” Wave backed away tucking her tail between her legs. “I knew I shouldn’t have done that,” she whispered quietly to herself. “You better be sorry!” Meadow screeched, her fluffy gray tail lashing. Wave breathed heavily. What do I do, she thought. All of a sudden there was a flash of light.
Chapter 2
“Wave, Wave!” she heard a voice yelling to her. Wave slowly opened her eyes. “It was a dream! Thank Starclan!” she exclaimed with relief. She strained to see Meadow looking down at her, worry and fear twinkling in her eyes. “Wave, a monster ran over Forest’s leg while you were sleeping! He’s injured his hind leg! Can you get some herbs? They’re near the twoleg place.” So, Wave set off, near the twoleg den. “Hello?” she called out, wondering if the kittypet was anywhere near her. She was disappointed, until she heard a noise. It sounded like a purr. Was he there? Wave remembered that the cat came from the leaf-green twoleg place. The sound seemed to come from that direction, so she headed over there.
At the doorstep of the house she saw the kittypet washing under the shade. “Hi!” Wave exclaimed.
“Oh hey, I remember you! You're the cat that was near the fence the other day.”
“Last time we met I forgot to ask you what your name was. Mine’s Wave.”
“Cool, my name is Frost.”
“Oh, Frost, I just remembered, my brother’s leg got run over by a monster! I came over here to get some herbs, but I totally forgot! Do you know where they are?”
“I don’t know, my owners normally give me medicine. I can get it, if you want?”
“That would be amazing, I just hope my littermates don’t ask me where I got it from!” Wave worried as Frost went to the door.
“Wave, the wind probably pushed the door closed when we were talking, and my owners installed a security system, so it will automatically lock the door when it closes. I need your help to reach the doorknob, quick, your brother’s injury might be getting worse!” Wave ran over to Frost,
“What do we do?” she asked.
“I don’t know!” “Oh, I have an idea, if you stand in front of the door, I can jump on your back, and use my claw to unlock the doorknob!” Wave jumped onto Frost’s back when he was in the right position.
“Here goes nothing,” Wave said nervously. She stuck her claw into the keyhole, and twisted it around in the small space.
“It worked!” Frost remarked. Immediately, Wave jumped off his back and Frost ran into the house. After a while Wave heard him call back.
“Got it!” he yelled from inside. He sprinted back out to the door.
“Here!” Frost said, while tossing her the bottle of tablets.
“I’ll go crush one, and mix it with some herbs, so they aren't suspicious!” Wave told Frost.
Wave was running around like crazy, trying to find some leaves. Finally, she found some, and smashed the tablet with her paw. Then she rubbed the powder from the tablet in the herbs, and shoved them into her mouth. “Meadow, Meadow!” Wave yelled, “Where are you?” Suddenly, she saw Dark padding toward her.
Chapter 3
“Meadow is with Forest; what do you need?”
“I found some herbs that might help.” Wave responded urgently.
“Thanks, Wave. Go ahead and give it to Meadow!” Dark ordered. Wave ran as fast as she could, the wind blowing in her fur, thorns raking down her sides, but somehow she felt so powerful. But it’s not time to enjoy. I need this to get to Meadow and Forest! she kept thinking to herself.
“Wave?” Meadow said scanning the area near her.
“I found some herbs that’ll help him!” she explained, tossing them to Meadow. Her sister grabbed them in her jaws, and spit them out near Forest. She put her head on his neck,
“Forest, you need to eat these, please, they’ll help you. Nobody will manage without you, you’re the most important cat ever, you’re the one that holds us together, you’re the one who always helps us, and most importantly, you’re the cat that everyone cares about,” Meadow whimpered in his ear.
“Please, come back.”
“Meadow, is that you?” a rasp and quiet voice questioned.
“Forest!” Meadow exclaimed, rapidly licking his cheek.
“Here, eat this,”she pushed the herbs closer to him. Forest took a small bite, and struggled to stand up, but eventually, he was up up on all of his legs, except for the leg that got hit, which was slightly tilted outwards.
“It does sort of help me feel better.” he shrugged.
“Thanks Wave,” Meadow whispered to her.
“Now that Forest got hurt, and I have to take care of him, I say you can be the “leader”. You know, telling us what to do, cause, I trust you Wave.”
Luckily, she saw Dark -
Oh, it cut the end of. I'll just post it in bits then.
-
Luckily, she saw Dark heading toward them. Wave ordered, “Meadow, you keep watching Forest, and Dark, me and you can go and check our borders near the forest and river.
They were swiftly running, the wind blowing through their pelts, making them feel so good. She ran toward the edge of the river, curious what it looked like, as she didn’t see it for over a moon.
“Great Starclan!” both of them screeched at the same time. They couldn’t believe their eyes! What they saw at the river was so rare to find there! “It’s a, it’s, a, it’s a twoleg!” at first it didn’t realize that they were there, for just enough time for them to escape back to their territory.
“Meadow, there’s a twoleg near the riverbank!” Wave yelled. Without Meadow neading to tell her, Wave knew that she was going to get Forest, since he took a short walk to clear his mind. Meadow started running towards the direction he went, and he couldn’t have gone far, with his injured leg. A few minutes later she came back with him, and he was leaning on her for support.
“So what should we do, hide, wait, escape?” Dark wondered out loud, as he and Meadow were looking at Wave. “We’ll take a few days to prepare, but once we’re ready…” Wave looked proudly at her littermates, “We attack.” -
Chapter 4
The day had come. The day for Wave to prove herself worthy of the role as leader.
They ran, Wave in the lead, toward the twoleg. Suddenly, they all skidded to a halt, as soon as they were about 3 fox-lengths away.
“Is Forest still okay?” Wave asked making sure they were prepared for whatever was going to happen.
“Yeah, he’s starting to walk better.”
“I think he can walk on his own now, and maybe even fight!” she told Wave after she asked Forest if he felt okay.
“The plan is that I’ll go and try to swim across to the other side, and see what it wants. Dark and Meadow, if I give you the signal with my tail, you’ll attack it just in case it’s dangerous, and Forest, you’ll cause the distraction when I swim across.”
They all quickly ran into places and started following the plan. As she padded across the earth floor, dust flew into the air. She kept running forward until she was only a few fox-lengths away.
She leaped into the water and swam to the other side, but now, this didn’t feel just like an ordinary m When she was swimming across, she felt powerful, and her fur glimmered in the sun. She was so caught up in the feeling that she didn’t even notice how Meadow and Forest were gazing at her beautiful pelt.
Suddenly, the amazing feeling reminded her of someone. But who? Then she remembered. Frost! She hadn’t seen him since the day that Forest got run over, which she realized was only the second time she’d seen him.
All of her thoughts broke when she felt like she bumped into something, and when she looked up she saw that she had reached the other side of the river. As she climbed out of the water, and shook the water off her pelt. When she was mostly dry, she turned around and looked at the twoleg. “Now it’s time to figure out what it wants.” she whispered to herself.
The twoleg slowly approached her, and ran it’s paw on her pelt. She shivered with fear, as it mumbled something. "It be okay. You safe.” It slowly picked her up, and Wave twisted around trying to get out of it’s grip. “Help, help!” she yelled trying to get her litter mates to hear her, but they were too far away to hear, so she had to deal with it herself.
What she did was unbelievable. First, she twisted to her right, then she lifted her left hind leg and put it on top of the twoleg’s front leg. She took her right hind leg, turned it to the right, and lifted it to kick the twoleg right in the muzzle! But that wasn’t the most surprising thing.
After Wave kicked off of it she swirled gracefully in the air, and landed with a perfect dive into the water! No cat in all of history was able to do that, except Wave! She landed deep into the water, that she almost reached the bottom! Wave was filled with pride that her trick had worked, and she hoped that her siblings saw.
She swiftly swam to the other side of the river and climbed out. She leaped out of the water and shook her fur, ready to take a satisfying nap. -
Chapter 5
She didn’t know who it was, until she went closer. She pressed her muzzle to her mother’s flank, remembering the times when she was a kit, and how her mother had played with her. She was devastated when her mom had died, and she still couldn’t get over the fact that it really happened when Wave was only 10 moons.
Then, she heard something comforting in a soft purring noise, that said, “Wave, wake up, I need to tell you something.” Wave slowly opened her eyes. “What is it, Meadow?” She steadily got up onto her paws.
“Well, you know about what you did yesterday, near the river with the twoleg?”
“Yeah?”
“Well, that sweet move you did on the twoleg really helped us. Who knows what it could’ve done!”
“I know, right. Twolegs are so unpredictable!”
“Yeah. Anyways, we decided that you can take the day off. You must be exhausted; Twolegs can be pretty rough on wild cats.”
“Thanks, I really appreciate it!” Wave acknowledged. She headed towards a tree stump. She sat down and began washing herself wondering what to do.
Then, she realized that in this time, she could visit Frost. Suddenly, she remembered the moment when she had done the dive, as she thought of Frost, and how it was the best feeling she had ever felt. She quickly stood up, and ran toward the leaf-green twoleg place. Once she reached the fence, she leaped up, and scrambled to the top.
“Wave!” she saw Frost jumping out of a window.
“Frost!” Wave replied.
“Wave, I saw what you did yesterday! It was sooo awesome!” he said.
“Thanks! Hey, do you want to go and climb some trees?”
“Sure. Last one there is a stinky dog!” Frost challenged, as they raced to the nearest tree.
After they finished playing outside, Wave wondered, “Have you ever tasted rabbit?”
“Nope, I never have.”
“Well, I can get you one you know. Only if you want me to of course.”
“Sure, I do always wonder what it tastes like.” After Wave caught some prey, her and Frost ate it.
“Wow, this tastes so good!”
“Are your twolegs home?”
“No. Why did you ask?”
“Well, I thought that maybe I could take a look inside your den...”
“Of course you can!” he answered, showing her the way to the door.
“Wow, there are so many toys!” Wave exclaimed. After looking around the twoleg nest the whole day she got tired.
She kept walking around. When she turned to ask Frost a question, he was gone. The bricks around her started to fade into a glimmery forest, the stars twinkling all around.
“You must build a force to fight the dangers you must defeat.” it said.
“W-what do you m-mean?'' she asked, but the voice faded and she felt wind blow through her fur as she awoke. Shocked, she tried to search for Meadow.
“Hello?” she called, “Meadow?”
There was no answer, so she went to check the mossy brambles where she saw Meadow fall asleep the night before. When she reached, Meadow was not there, but she could pick up the slightest scent, and it wasn’t Meadow’s.
Suddenly, there was a rustle in the bushes. Wave spun around, her muscles tensing. She saw a flash of ginger fur slide fast her in a blur. “Who’s there?” she asked, scared. -
Chapter 6
The creature kept circling her, and then it looked up. Then she realized that it was a cat.
“What are you doing on my hunting grounds?” it questioned her.
“You’re hunting grounds? This is our territory!” Wave growled, hoping she wasn’t showing how frightened she was.
“ ‘Our’ ?” the cat questioned, “Who else lives here?”
“Oh….I….uh…..”
“Who?” the cat yowled.
“My littermates!” she blurted out, too frightened to think. “
How many of them are there?”
“Three” she answered.
“Where are they?” Wave sighed, “I’ll show you.” she said.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
As Wave led the stranger to where Dark and Forest slept, she started to wonder what he wanted. Why does he have to bother us? Can’t some cats just have a good life!?
Would she ever see her littermates or Frost ever again? The thought frightened her, so she pushed it away. What was important right now, was that they were safe with this rogue living on their hunting grounds.
While they were walking, the cat asked, “So, what’s your name?”
“Wave,” she answered, surprised by his friendly tone.
“Nice. My name’s Bramble,” he answered, “Sorry if I frightened you, or made you think that I’m holding you prisoner. It’s just…..ever since my parents and my sister disappeared, it’s been really challenging to live alone.”
“Oh-” a noise in the bramble thicket interrupted her. “We’re here.” she told him.
“Forest, Dark? Are you there?” she called.
“Wave? Oh, we’re over here,” Wave heard Dark reply.
“Let’s go.” Wave whispered to Bramble. As she stepped through the ferns, she saw Dark, Forest, and Meadow waiting in the clearing.
“Hi guys,” she said cheerfully, “This is Bramble.” As Bramble entered, Meadow asked, “Who is he?”
“A rogue,” Wave replied, glancing backwards at Bramble.
“Okay…..” Meadow answered. Wave turned around.
“Do you want to go hunting?” she asked Bramble.
“Yes, of course!” he replied. As they were hunting, Wave wondered why her littermates weren’t excited about meeting Bramble. They were just confused, she kept telling herself.
Once she and Bramble got a piece of prey, they settled down to eat.
“Sorry about my littermates, Bramble.” she said.
“It’s ok. But I’m glad you understand that I don’t mean any harm. Anyways, I better be going back now. Oh, and there are lots of rouges living around here, and some might be rude, so be careful. Bye!”
“Bye Bramble! See you some time later!” she called as he left. Wave felt a pang of sadness as he left; her littermates weren’t being too friendly to her lately. She decided to take a walk, and get some fresh air.
As she was going through the forest, she saw the twoleg place. It reminded her of Frost, so she headed toward the leaf-green twoleg house that he lived in. She went to the door, and it was open, so she went in.
“Frost?” she called, “Are you there?”
“Yeah, who is it?” he asked before stepping away from where he was sitting. “Wave! It’s you! Finally! It’s been so long!”
“Frost!” she ran up to him. “It’s so good to see you again. What do you want to do?”
“I don’t know, maybe we can just talk.” Wave felt uneasiness stab her like the sharpest claw. Should she tell Frost about Bramble? I can’t, she told herself, he might get angry. “So what do you want to talk about?” she asked Frost.
“Nothing really.” he answered, “Sorry if this is boring. You can leave if you want to, Wave.
“Oh, ok.” For once Wave didn’t feel like staying with Frost, so she headed for the door to leave. She pelted through the trees, embracing the wind in her fur. She reached the area where her littermates were, and went through the brambles. “Hi guys!” she said enthusiastically. She was worried what they would say after the incident with Bramble. She hoped they weren’t still mad at her. -
Chapter 7
“Wave, we need to talk to you.” “Okay….” Wave responded, confused.
“So, about Bramble,” she continued, “Are you sure he doesn’t mean any harm?”
“Of course not! Wave insisted.
“Okay, let’s just let it go. This isn’t such a big problem that it is worth arguing on.”
“Thanks, Meadow” Wave walked up to her sister and nudged her. “Do you want to check the borders together?” she asked.
“No, I’m pretty tired. You can if you want to.”
“Okay, bye!” She headed through the trees, toward the nearest border. Wave loved going on border patrol, because she gets to see some pretty sites of nature, in the places she doesn't normally go. For example, the waterfall near the border that she was currently traveling to.
As she was walking through the forest, she heard some noise. She strained her ears as hard as she could, so she could hear what it was. It was the noise of someone talking, she guessed. “What are you doing here!” one voice hissed at the other. “None of your business!” it growled in return. She heard them leap at each other, and guessed they were fighting. She couldn’t just stand there, when some cat might die.
As she walked to where she heard the noise, she saw them. It was a blur of gray and ginger. Curious, she called “Stop, you guys! Stop fighting!” They pulled away from each other hissing, and turned around. “Who are you?” the gray tabby cat snarled. The other one stared at her.
“What!?” she asked, irritated. “W-wave? Is it really you?”
“Um..yeah, I’m me. What are you talking about? Do you know me?”
“Wave, I’m your father!”
-------------------------------------------------------------------
“Really?” Wave gasped. She thought her father was dead, but she never saw him in dreams, like she does with her mom. “Yes!” he pounded up to her, and pushed his muzzle up to her cheek. “I’m so sorry, Wave.”
“About what?”
“Well, when we got separated, and….and when your mom died.”
But before she could respond, another voice interrupted. “Hello? I’m still here, you know.” It was the cat that had fought her father, she thought. Wave flung around, her fur bristling with fury. She leaped at the cat, claws unsheathed. The cat ducked and spun around.
“Stop! This was a misunderstanding, Wave.” her father yelled, “He was just passing through.”
“Oh ok.” she turned to the other cat, “Sorry.”she said.
“Can you show me where you four are staying?” her father asked when the other cat left.
“Sure, follow me.” she responded. She padded through the forest, enjoying the warmth of her father near her, their pelts brushing.
“Over here,” she said before pushing through the brambles.
“Who’s that!” Dark hissed.
“This is our father.” Wave explained.
“What!?” the three of them said in astonishment. As her father and litter mates talked, her mind drifted elsewhere. -
Chapter 8
Her vision was blurry, but she could just make out that she was lying next to a cat with ginger fur. “Where am I? Who are you?” The cat did not answer, as if they couldn’t hear her.
She looked around at the area where she was. There was a beautiful waterfall, with ponds and streams everywhere. “This is your destiny, Wave. You must fulfill it.” a voice rang out. She guessed it was StarClan telling her a prophecy, and that she was dreaming. As she continued to look around she saw many other cats, from the youngest cat, to the oldest elder. Wow, she thought, I wonder how it would be like to live like this. She woke with a start, to see Forest leaning over her.
“Hi, Forest,” she greeted him, still drowsy from sleep, and worried about the prophecy. With a brief nod of welcome, he explained to her, “Meadow, Dark, and Bracken went hunting.”
“Bracken? Who’s he?”
“That’s our father’s name.”
“Oh, okay.”
“You can stay here, or go on a walk if you like, but I’m staying to guard the clearing.”
“Thanks, Forest!” she said thankfully.
She let her paws fly through the air as she ran, the wind tugging at her fur. She slowed her pace after a while, and was eventually padding through the forest softly, taking in every awe striking sight of flowing water that she passed. She finished the walk, came back and took a nap.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Almost a moon had passed, and each day her paws were itching to go and explore the forest. One day, she was out hunting, when she heard noise behind her, and she flung around to see 2 foxes sneaking up on her. Her heart raced, as if she would die the second the foxes looked at her.
Worry shot through her, making her ears ring. The bigger fox leaped at her throat, but she ducked, and only got bitten on the shoulder. Pain surged through her, and it was a struggle to walk, let alone fight. The other one lunged forward, clawing her flank, her legs were full with pain, but she kept fighting. A fox leaped on her and scraped her back, while the other one batted it’s hind legs into her underbelly.
All of a sudden she saw a flash of ginger. Oh no! Is that another fox? she thought, I’m going to die! But instead it leaped on one of the foxes, tearing their claw along it’s throat. She realized it was a cat, and that they were on her side.
She struggled to fight a fox all by herself, and screamed out, “Help!” The cat gave one last bite at their fox, and rushed to help, sinking their teeth into the fox’s shoulder. The foxes ran away. She felt pain, like a claw raking down her side.
“Wave, oh no! It’s me, Bramble. Don’t worry, I’m going to help you.” He got up and returned a few moments later with a rabbit, and a bundle of water-soaked moss. “Here,” he pushed them near her mouth, and she took a sip of water, as well as a bite of fresh-kill.
“Thank you, Bramble…” Wave whispered.
He pushed his muzzle into her fur, and closed his eyes. -

Whatever))
Chapter 9
This is what she saw in her vision, sunrises ago. The ginger cat next to her was Bramble, and that was their destiny. But something bothered Wave: In her vision, there were other cats around them. You must build a force to fight the dangers you must defeat, StarClan’s words rang in her head. That’s what it meant!
She had to somehow find cats, and build a force. She pushed the confusing thought away, and tried to stand up. She was able to, but her injuries were still painful. She pressed close to Bramble, seeking the warmth in his fur.
“Thank you, Bramble.” she whispered, “You saved my life, and I owe you.”
A purr rumbled in his throat, “At least you’re okay now.”
She answered, concerned, “Well I better be going, my family should be waiting for me.”
“Bye,” he responded with kindness. She walked away with a heavy heart, in the opposite direction.
When she reached, they were very surprised to see her injuries. “Wave, what took you so long, and how did you get hurt?”
“Well….Bramble..”
Meadow leaped up, “I told you couldn’t trust that mouse-brain!” she snarled.
“No, you don’t understand! He saved my life!”
“How?” Forest growled.
“Two foxes leaped out of the bushes and attacked me, but Bramble came and saved me just in time.” she explained to them.
“I bet you fought well, Wave.” Bracken purred. Despite the tension, her father was unsettlingly calm.
“Thanks Dad.” she acknowledged.
“We’re back.” came a voice from behind her. There were four cats with fresh-kill in their jaws. Wave’s eyes widened with surprise and curiosity. “Who are you guys?” she asked, confused. -
