Thread Topic: A little excerpt from a book I read.

There is something inside each of us that tells us we're unimportant.
Some insisting a--hole who loves to remind us we're just motes of dust with no greater purpose.
I think that's why we created God, someone who cared, someone who valued each one of us as special.
But over time that stopped working.
We needed some new trick to put us in the center of the universe. To disprove that nagging voice.
A digital world where we were each the special star of our own movie.
But what if we didn't need a god or a fantasy to tell us that we're special?
What if accepting the one simple truth would've made the pain go away?
Our lives are meaningful.
If only to us.
And those we love.
Even if that's all there is.
