The sea.
Maria hated it, but she also had loved the sea. Her father died at sea, her mother refused to go near the sea , ocean,or lakes. She got anxiety even being near water itself. Maria loved swimming,fishing and everything boating. But her Father- the sea betrayed him ,and her. It took the one person that understood her,listened to her,spoke to her without thinking she was crazy. Maria prayed every day of her Father's fishing trip that he would return safely. Her praying was not enough. 3 days into the 7 day trip , word got to her and her mother. Her father, not dead,but lost at sea. Lost at sea. The idea made Maria laugh and cry. Lost at sea just meant dead, but gently towards the grieving mother and daughter. Lost at sea. Home is where the heart is . His heart was at sea. And so was hers. -
