Thread Topic: I'm very, very frustrated!!!

So, a couple of months ago, I wrote a fan fiction sequel for Undertale. My friend told me Toby Fox wouldn't make a sequel, because he wants us to use our imagination for one. So I decided to. I spent weeks plainning and decided to write the story to help me plain. The sequel I wrote was a sequel to the pacifist route. About the children of the main characters. My friend lectured me The Whole day because I had bad grammar, because I involved OC's, and about how my story was done 'without care'! So the next day, he didn't see any reason for me to be mad at him. And a fight started.
Today, I haven't added on to the story since then. And his brother started criticizing me today about involving Pokmon (when I didn't) and involving Asriel when I clearly stated how he was able to remain himself. And for the father of Frisk's child it was either Asriel or Monster Kid because of age groups. (I imagined that Frisk was a girl in this story.) And I didn't understand all the other stuff he lectured me about. But if two of my best friends can only see bad things in my stories... Does that mean I'm a bad writer? -
its satire, bro
-
if your writing is bad, improve it. don't be stagnant
-
This is the story if you want to read it... At first I thought it was good and I enjoyed writing it. And I don't care about ratings or anything. I just like creating stories. But all my friends have said about the story was bad things...
What's satire? -
dont quit your day job
-
But I don't know if it's bad. My family and teachers keep telling me I'm an amazing writer! And they tell me I'm great at writing stories! But I didn't ask your opinion Geek, because everything you say is negative. At least read the story before saying I should improve it please.
-
And my day jobs are school, and working on the farm. Writing is a hobby where I can create characters. Creating OC's was my favorite part because it's like creating a friend or enemy! I don't really think talking to thin air for an imaginary friend works as well as writing a story about them.
-
Why was this moved here? I'm trying to ask advice. Yes, the advice is about a story. But my friends don't go to the library forum! This is an advice thread! I'm not writing the story! I'm talking about being frustrated. Now the only people who will see this are... Well... Maybe someone will post after week...
-
I don't know why the hell they moved it here!!
-
I mean the study would've been better, or maybe left in the lounge
I don't think you should let what your friends say get to you, If your parents and teachers say you're food at doing what you do, then shrug off whatever your friends say. -
Don't just shrug off what they. Use their criticism to grow.
-
* what they say
-
Yeah, whatever he says ^^
-
Okay. One of their criticisms is that I can't use Original Characters in my fan fiction stories. Another is that I should be using notes on every chapter in A03. But I find no need for the authors notes. And creating OC's is my favorite part of writing a story! So how does my friends lecturing me on that help me grow?

Truth is, they only say that because they have a filter in their mind to make politically correct and sugar-coated compliments because they don't want to hurt your feelings.
This is where we come in. We will destroy your little fantasy of perfection.
Your writing genuinely sucks. Your stories are cookie-cutter bulls--- and you need a more advanced vocabulary to bring life to your mundane excerpts (they aren't chapters, trust me) and more practice learning the basic conventions of storytelling and then progress or work your way upwards. It's bland and nothing remarkably interesting.
