Thread Topic: Mike's Collection of Fanfic Adventures In Hyrule.

After thinking for a while, I've decided to make a thread about some short fanfic stories that I have been thinking about. I will write everything in here so as to keep track of the stories I create. The first one, which I will write the first chapter to tomorrow after my Smash tournament, will be about the Great Fairy fountains being poisoned and such, and eventually adopting a small violet fairy named Iris (who has become my roleplay daughter). So, until tomorrow everyone. Mike out!

(Sorry, it wasn't yesterday, as I planned. I passed out last night before I could even think up a title. But I've got some ideas now, so sit back and relax as I tell a tale full of adventure, trials, rewards, and fantasy fights.)
The Adventures of Mike The Wandering Swordsman: 1: The Beginning of A Great Partnership.
~Chapter One: After Ganon~
I still remember. I still remember the day I murdered my first human being. He may have been an evil man, one so full of greed and a lust for destruction, but he was still a human. Ganondorf had been after the Triforce, all to conquer Hyrule and other lands. But I killed him, I shoved a sacred blade through his chest and he just died while standing there. Zelda had told me that I had done a good deed for all of Hyrule, and I believed her, but that didn't stop the nightmares from coming. Time after time, night after night, I repeated the final showdown with the evil king. And it has been wearing on my sanity. The good outweighs the bad though, just as the princess told me. I lived through the fight to see Hyrule grow into a more beautiful and peaceful nation. And with the peace came more royal visitors to see her highness. I find that there's not much to do around these times, so I take Mustang out for a ride, just outside of Castle Town. And when I don't do that, I go home to Ordon and help Fado herd the goats, or visit Ilia. But today, something seems off. Everyone started acting weird around me yesterday. I decide to go out today and see what it's about.
~~~~~~~~~~
I open the door to my house, stepping outside and shutting it behind myself, quckly glancing at the night sky. After quickly climbing down the small ladder, I run to the center of Ordon village and spot the town's citizens gathered around a big table outside. "What's going on?" I asked no one in particular, looking to all of their smiling faces. Ilia steps closer to me, holding a box. "Have you forgotten what today is, Mike? Surely you haven't." I look at the small box in her hands, putting two and two together. "It's your birthday! Your twentieth one, at that!" A look of embarrassment approaches onto my face, and I scratch my head. "Oh, right. How could I have forgot?" Everyone walks closer to me, wishing me a happy birthday. I thank everyone and accept all of their gifts, Ilia helping take them to my house with me. After we return, they begin to celebrate. I laugh as a few of the villagers start drinking and slurring their words after a minute. After half an hour of celebrations, one villager begins to sing a love song, and most get up and dance with their significant other, friend, or even some by themselves. I sit at the table, not wanting to attract attention to myself. Ilia then strides over to me, a drink in her hand. "You should dance wit' someone. Y'know, Uli's all by 'er lonesome, and she looks bored.." She says, the smell of alcohol on her breath. I nod once, unsure as to approach Uli about it or not. After mulling it over, I gather all the courage the Goddesses granted me and walk over to the grown woman, gulping once. "Uh, Ilia said you looked bored, and I thought you might like to dance..?"The words rushed out of my mouth, and I blushed a little. "Sure, I'd love to. Rusl's passed out from drinking, so I wasn't really doing anything myself." I sigh in relief as I hear her laughter, approaching her and grabbing her left hand with my right, and placing my left hand just above the right side of her hips. We move slowly, her making sure she doesn't step on my feet, and I lead. After the song is over, she smiles and gives me a friendly hug. "Thank you, that was fun. And just where did you learn to dance so well?" I laugh nervously. "A friend taught me." Uli nods and walks away, waving goodbye. I turn around to head back to my house, yawning as I walk. After climbing up the ladder and opening the door, I walk inside and shut it behind myself. I sigh and walk into the main room, taking off my shirt and sandals. After doing so, I climb into my bed and blow out the candle, laying down. Just then, I hear heavy breathing next to me, and I scream as I see the face of Ganondorf. "Hello, kid.." Without warning, he jumps at me.. -
~Chapter Two: Ganondorf's Ressurection Part One~
His voice freezes my bodily movements, and I find I cannot dodge his next attack. He swings his blade down through my head, and I wince in expectation of the pain. However, it does not come, and I open my eyes to reveal that Ganondorf was not there. "Oh, must have been imagining things.." I mumble, throwing myself back onto the bed. In a few seconds, my eyelids become heavy and I drift off into the beginnings of sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~
I awake to the afternoon sunlight on my face, taking it in as I yawn. Sitting up on the bed, I stretch my arms and legs, before getting off and walking to the round window at the top of the small tree building. When I look out, I notice that the village kids aren't there like usual. Thinking nothing of it, I get dressed and head out the door, closing it behind me. After I climb down the ladder, I begin walking to the center of the village. The village is deathly quiet, I think to myself, and I knock on Sera's shop door. I wait at least three minutes before I run and knock on Hanch's door. "Hello! It's me, Mike!" I run up the small path to Rusl's house and pound on the door, still receiving no answer. "Where is everyone?!" I scream, glancing all around the village to try and spot someone, anyone. A sudden howl interrupts my searching and thinking, and I look over to the gate leading to Fado's ranch. The golden wolf I met so long ago is sitting there, my Ordon Sword and Hylian Shield sitting next to it. I run over to my friend, picking up my weapons and strapping them to my back. I unsheathe the sword and hold it with my right hand, doing the same with the shield on my left hand. The golden wolf growls, pouncing on me and making my consciousness fade. When I come to, I'm still in Ordon Village, but the Hero's Shade is standing where the wolf was. "It's been a while, Hero of Twilight. I assume you know now that all of your friends in this small village are nowhere to be found?" I nod and clutch the sword harder, my knuckles starting to go white. Farore, if anything happened to them.. "Calm yourself. Where they are, they are safe. At least the enemy was kind enough to keep them out of harms way." I sigh in relief, hearing the consolation in his words. "However, the enemy is one you are familiar with, and he's been getting help from the beings in the Sacred Realm. Last night, he nearly broke free of the realm, and he attacked you. You know him as-" Before he could finish, the monotone words fly from my mouth. "Ganondorf.. So last night, that wasn't me imagining things? I actually did see him?" The Hero's Shade nods, before speaking again. "Yes. Now, prepare yourself, he's gonna show up again, soon.." I gulp and take a battle stance, glancing around the empty village. After a few minutes, a blue portal opens up, and covers the sky in red. A familiar red haired man steps through the portal, taking with him his white sword. "I'm here, boy!" He says, raising his weapon into the sky. "Time to finish what I started.." -
~Chapter Three: Ganondorf's Resurrection Part Two~
I hold my sword and shield up a little, bending my knees slightly. My vision focuses on the tall Gerudo man, as he steps closer to me. "Boy, you're going to rue the day you crossed me.." With a lightning quick movement, he swings his foul blade horizontally towards me. Quick on my feet, I jump up to avoid his sword, then bash him in the head with my shield. Momentarily stunned, Ganon backs up, holding his weapon in front of his face. With a low voice, he mumbles something that resembles a magic spell, and a giant wall of flames surrounds us. In case of other magic spells, I switch the Hylian Shield out for the Mirror Shield and prepare myself for his next attack. Ganondorf swings his sword vertically downwards, and I block it with the shield, only to have it knocked out of my hand due to the sheer force of his attack. "You're mine!" He grabs me by the throat unexpectedly, and lifts me above the ground. I struggle to breathe, and I claw at his hand for a few moments, before I lose my grip on my blade. The evil king cackles like a madman before raising his weapon, pointing the tip at my gut. "It ends here, Mike. Tell your mother and father I said hello!" His blade is thrust through my stomach, causing me to cry out in pain. My body has entered pure panic mode now, and my eyes shoot wide open. "Get your hands-" Is all I can say before blood shoots up my throat. I begin to shudder a little and cough uncontrollably. He lets go of me and drops me to the ground, the impact forcing me to cry out in pain once more. To add to my current pain, the evil king kicks me in the gut over and over again, and I scream every time. He kicks me one last time before looking towards the portal, hearing something calling him. "Master? You wish to come out into the light of day?" Stabbing his unholy blade into the ground, he walks over to the portal and holds out his hand, waiting. After a second, a thick, black scaled arm grabs Ganondorf's hand, and with a little help, the being walks through. Standing roughly two feet taller than the king of evil, the being looks at me, its black eyes narrowed into little slits. Its long, fiery orange hair glows every time it moves, and I find I'm losing consciousness rapidly. "I'll get you.." Are the last words I utter before my vision goes black.
~~~~~~~~~~
"--ke! -ike! Mike!" I look towards the source of the sound to see the princess Zelda and Ilia, both looking at me with a sad expression. I try to speak, but my words fail. "Mike, don't leave us yet! We still have a chance to beat the evil ones at their own game!" Both of them hold out their right hands. I take what's in Ilia's hand first, putting a small black ring on my index finger. I take what's in Zelda's hand next, looking at a small gem on a necklace. It instantly attaches around my neck, before disappearing from sight. "Now wake up! Duty calls!"
I awake to find that Rusl, Ashei, and princess Zelda herself are sitting next to me on the ground. With a pained grunt, I sit up, only to have all three of them look sadly in my direction. "What's going on?" Zelda speaks first, a somber tone to her voice. "Ganondorf is back, and he's revived the god of demons, Demise. This means that Hyrule and all of its people will surely die.." Rusl spoke up next, whilst looking straight at me. "However, we had a major evacuation plan put into effect, to get all the people safe and far away. They're being transported to the bordering lands of Termina, Dracaena, Ilostead, and Locera. That won't last if they aren't stopped, though.." I rub my temples as I assess the situation. "Wait, where did they go? The evil ones, I mean." Ashei was the last to speak up. "They went back through the portal a bit ago. Before they left, they said they would be back in three days, to destroy all of the Goddesses' creations. That must mean they're weak, so we should plan and train, yeah?" All of this information was starting to hurt my head, but something else was off. I noticed that, aside from my headache, I was completely fine. "Hey, I was stabbed earlier. How come there's no pain?" Figuring Zelda probably healed me, I unstrap my gear and slide my tunic, torn chainmail, and undershirt off to reveal a large black scar across my abdomen. "Whoa! What happened?!" Zelda held up a small black object, which looked like a rock. "When I started to heal you, your blood took on a life of its own. It turned black and sealed the wound, but it only did just that. This is basically a dried chunk of blood." My eyes widen, and I take it from her. "For the love of Nayru, I hope you didn't say what I think you said.." Zelda only remained silent, confirming that it was, in fact, the truth. I let the solid blood chunk fall to the ground, joking a gag. "That's disgusting. To think that that thing came from my body." I get to my feet, putting my stuff back on. "Well, what are we doing standing around here for? We only have three days before the world is potentially lost. We might as well begin traaining." A sudden feeling of deja vu hit me like a horse drawn carriage. "Let's get to it, shall we?"
~~~~~~~~~~
"Three days? Why three days?" Demise asked his loyal servant, who followed with, "Because in three days, the blood moon will be upon us. And that is when we will be at maximum power to destroy those wretched Hylians." Demise sighed impatiently. "I guess I can wait for three days." Ganondorf smirked, looking at the burned victims of his destruction. "I've also added my own personal spin to this waiting game. Right before we left, I gave that foolish hero a gift. He and all of the other beings are going to love it." Demise smiled a little, showing a bit of his sharp teeth. "And by gift, you mean light consumption magic, don't you?" Ganondorf just laughed at his ploy. "Who will destroy and conquer Hyrule first? Us, or him..?" -
~Chapter Four: Return Of The Master Sword~
"Really?" Upon hearing Shad speak the news of the Master Sword, I instantly bolt out of my chair. "Yes, it's true. I just stood there for at least ten minutes, examining the holy blade. It was definitely glowing a dark blue." I place my hand on my chin, contemplating things. "It is no coincidence. The evil beings have returned, thus eliciting the Blade of Evil's Bane to once again be needed." I say, scratching my head. It appears that it will be needed for this hopefully final mission of light versus darkness, but I can't think of any way to travel to the Sacred Grove fast enough to be back before nightfall. "If I were to travel to the Sacred Grove by horseback, it would take at least five hours. And there's no guarantee that nothing will happen while I'm gone." Ashei was the first to speak up after that. "I'm sure if the bad guys were to do something, we would be able to stop it. I mean, we do have help from all of the other races of Hyrule. If we were to be attacked, then we'd handle it, yeah?" Telma was next. "That's right. If everyone would work together, we'd be able to deal with whatever they throw at us." Thinking it over, I decide to go. "All right, then, I suppose I'll go with Mustang. Just remember everyone, be on guard while I'm out." With those final words, our small meeting of four parted, leaving the table as it was. I walk over to the door leading to the outside, and open it. Before I leave, a hand placed upon my shoulder stops me. I turn around to see Zelda holding a small, green crystal in her hand. "This is a magic spell known as Farore's Wind. It is used to teleport to a location that you use it in. Use it here before you go, and it will create a warp point here. You can use it to return here instantaneously." I accept the crystal, holding it up and casting the warp point. "Thanks, that will make returning here a piece of cake." Zelda nods. "I just hope that your journey be a safe one." I place the small crystal in my pouch before nodding back and walking out the door. Heading to the southern gate of Castle Town, I grab the horse call out of my pouch and leave through the gate. Once I walk down all the stairs, I place the whistle to my lips and play Mustang's Song. Before long, the brown skinned, black haired horse gallops over to me, seemingly appearing from nowhere. She halts when coming close to me, neighing loudly. "Hey girl. This is going to be somewhat of a long trip." I say, petting her mane. She whinnies, as if in understanding, and I climb up onto her back, taking the reins in my hands and turning her around. "Let's get this journey started.." I spur Mustang into a full gallop towards Hyrule Field, a small grin on my face.
~~~~~~~~~~
About four hours later, and after much travelling, I stand at the entrance to the Sacred Grove. I run in and to the east of the older ruins, the place where the Master Sword is held. Surrounded by the forest features, the legendary sword looks no different than when I first pulled it out of its pedestal. With just a grunt, the blade slides out easily. As soon as I'm done, I sheathe it and pull out Farore's Wind, using it to teleport back into Castle Town. But before I do, I could swear I saw a black shadow moving from within my peripheral vison.. -
~Chapter Five: Weird Changes~
The scenery from the Sacred Grove disappears in a flash, being replaced by the warm and cozy atmosphere of Telma's bar. "You have the holy blade?" Zelda asks from behind me, and I turn to face her. "Sure do." With one swift movement, the Master Sword is within my right hand, the Triforce of Courage burning brightly on the back of the same hand. "So that's what it looks like.." Auru says, coming over to me, Ashei and Shad also following. "Yeah, it's a great weapon. Double edged, eternal sharpness, stylish colored hilt. It's perfect." They all look at me like I'm crazy. "What can I say? I've become a weapon expert." Zelda chuckles. "That aside, we need to prepare ourselves now. Telma, do you have a weapon supply here?" The tall woman in question nods and points upstairs. "The very first room on the left." Zelda, Auru, Shad, and Ashei head upstairs to the armory, leaving me and Telma alone in the central part of the bar. I sheathe my sword before sitting on a stool. "Mike, I trust that you will look out for us when we need it?" I nod, a small smirk flashing onto my face. "Of course. Those who oppose me and hurt my friends will be given no mercy.." Telma gave me a worried look. "Are you okay? That was a little out of character for you." I blink my eyes once, coming back into focus. I turn to look at her, grinning. "Sorry, I'm just a little out of it. I'm going to head to my room for a bit, please excuse me." I get to my feet and walk up the stairs, going to the far end of the hallway. Opening the door, I walk in and shut it behind me, collapsing on the medium sized bed. "Did I really say that?" I recalled just a few minutes ago, thinking of how worried Telma looked. Sighing, I close my eyes and begin drifting off to sleep.
~Zelda's P.O.V~
The door behind our group shuts, and we walk downstairs carrying many different types of weapons. "Miss Telma, may I ask why you have so many weapons hidden away?" I smirk mischievously, looking to her. "Just precautions of course." Telma chuckles, heading over to our table with glasses of tea. We all thank her, just before I notice who isn't with us. "Say, where did Mike go?" I ask curiously. "Oh, he said he was tired, and he went to his room, poor guy. He was acting a bit strange, though." Shad perked up, politely butting into our conversation. "What do you mean by 'weird'?" Telma answered in kind. "Right before he went, he said that anyone who hurts his friends or gets in his way will be given no mercy. But the look on his face is what caught me off guard. He had this glare, and he looked deathly pale for a moment." I think for a second, before replying. "I'm sure it was just his lack of sleep. He said that he used to go days on end without resting, maybe that's just catching up with him." Telma sighed. "I hope that's just it." Suddenly, there was a semi loud thumping noise behind us, and we turn to see the person in question with his eyes closed. "Mike?"
~Back To Me, Right When I Fell Asleep~
"Mike?" Zelda is the one who speaks, but I see everyone at a table. "Are you feeling okay?" She asks, worried features covering her face. Ashei looks at Zelda. "I think he's sleepwalking. Is that common for him?" Zelda shook her head in disagreement, standing up. She walks over to me and tugs at my arm. "Hey, sleepyhead, wake up." I am awake! The words, however, don't seem to leave my throat. All of a sudden, everyone but Zelda disappears from my view. "She knows who I am, seek her for guidance. Impaz..." She stops, looking at me. She doesn't say anything, and I reach my hand out. The Triforce of Courage is glowing, as well as the others. The black upside down triangle is also there, darkly illuminating the other pieces. With a grunt, I hit the floor, everything fading to black..
