Life is a burden,
It weighs down the soul.
Wouldn't be easier,
To leave it all behind,
And give your soul a fresh new start?
No.
It is harder,
It will only cause more pain,
There is nothing more,
That you could possibly gain.
You have all that you could possibly need,
Your friends,
Love,
And family.
Who do you think you are,
Wanting to whisk that all away?
One single cut,
One single pull of a trigger,
And you can lose it all.
Do not question life.
Life is what will question you,
Be strong.
You might have learned to live half alive,
But that must end now.
You are now important,
You always have been.
Do not dwell in your past,
And weigh down your happiness with the might you could be using for good.
Don't turn away,
Grasp the rope with all of your strength,
As you hang above the black pit of nothingness,
The only thing keeping you from being taken into its trap,
Do not let the rope snap.
Life is worth every second of pain,
Every glimmer of agony,
Every moment of weakness.
Without these obstacles,
We would not grow stronger.
We would have no strength to live on.
Pull yourself together,
Find hope,
Find faith,
And press forward.
You never know what great things may lie ahead. -

That's an awesome poem! I just got out of a kind-of-depressed state a few weeks ago. This kind of stuff is what had pulled me out :)
