Betting Bruce (referred to as Silent Bat in the game's files) is one of the fandom's antagonists and a unique animatronic in Five Nights at Freddy's. He is a sleepy bat that usually appears in The Office after a certain item is unlocked.
Appearance
Animatronic appearance
Fullbody
Chibi fullbody
Bruce is an animatronic wearing a costume that's similar to that of a bat. Onstage, he wears a dark black colored bowtie that is shaped ironically like a bat, though whether or not he holds any instrument is unclear. His remaining ear is articulated at the top, and so he can wiggle it back and forth as much as he pleases.
On camera, every part of his body is visible except for his wings that are only visible in the darkness off camera. They were made to be a source of glow-in the dark-entertainment.
His irises are normally a shiny dark purple, but he is commonly seen with his endoskeleton eyes on-camera (similar to Freddy Fazbear's eyes).
He stands at a slight angle due to his missing right foot and is missing an arm that has yet to be found.
Human appearance

Chibi fullbody
Bruce is a short male, barely standing at 5 feet. He has messy dark blue hair (it almost looks black). His eyes are a dark purple that shimmer in the light. He has a ripped ear and has an amputated arm and foot. He usually has to lean on something to get around places because he never had enough money to get replacements. A dark black bat-shaped bowtie is tied around his neck for reasons unknown. He wears a long-sleeved dark purple shirt that's ripped to reveal his amputated arm. He wears a light purple-colored vest that covers his pretty shirt. He also wears pure white pants and old man shoes.Or rather an old man shoe lolUnlike his animatronic self, he does not have the bat wings. Only the ears. -
Locations
Bruce starts the night inside of the kitchen, lifeless and not moving. It will appear to the player that he's been trying to get a snack. You can approach him without being attacked. Once you've unlocked a certain item- Bruce's foot- he will wake up. Once awoken, he will use half of the same set path as Freddy's. 1. Kitchen 2. East Hall 3. East Hall Corner 4. The Office.
Once awoken, no matter what room he is in, you will be able to hear a low hum (similar to a whistle). This is referred to as Bruce's Echolocation, or his "jingle". Bruce hides in corners of the room he's in, or anywhere that the player cannot see him. Bruce cannot be visible if another animatronic is in the same room as him.
Behavior
Until you find Bruce's foot, you will not have to worry about him attacking you because he is unable to move. He will only become active once the player finds the item, at which at that point the player will be greeted by Bruce's humming noises.
Whenever Bruce starts to move, you can hear Bruce's Echolocation. When he is close to the player, the humming stops and turns into a high pitched screech that normally humans cannot hear- however, the player can. When he goes in for the kill, he releases high pitched frequencies that last for around 9 seconds before the game is over for the player.
Bruce can enter The Office in any way he pleases, but he usually follows Freddy's path, witch is via the East Hall. He does not move in any certain way, therefore making the player have to do extra work to see where he is. Note that his wings allow him to somewhat hover off the floor and so you cannot always hear the scrapes of his wires against the flooring.
Since Bruce prefers the darkness, the player should only have to deal with him as they would with Freddy (because Freddy prefers the dark as well). There are two ways to get a small advantage over Bruce; A) The player shuts off any lights possible. Bruce's glow-in-the-dark wings will become visible and the player will be able to see him at any time. However, this is also a disadvantage because the player cannot see the other animatronics. This will also cause Bruce a chance to become one with the habitat around him and will give Bruce the upper hands. This method should only be used in emergencies. B) When the player turns on as many lights as possible, he may delay his attack due to the want of finding a dark space. This basically freezes Bruce in his tracks and lets the player have a chance to run. -

History
Bruce was made in New York by a designer that was planning on retiring. At first, his original design was going to be made strong with many different types of steel, but it was too costly. He ended up being made out of semi-sturdy metal and cheap plastic/fun fur. The person who had originally been planning on paying for him rejected him because he was 'crap' compared to the other animatronics the owner had. With no other buyers, the designer left him in a closet.
When the designer died, Bruce was found in the closet. He was immediately shipped to the Pizzeria because no other place with animatronics would take him. Bruce found life to be quite easy there- the kids loved him, and he finally had a home. He was brought out only on 'special' days, and he was one of the ones that was on high demand to be seen. However, Freddy and the others were more popular, and he respected that as much as possible- somewhat impossible when he was nagged to go, but still.
One day, Bruce was allowed to preform a solo all throughout the day. His audience that day loved him. He even got his own theme song because his last audience made it up with him. It was rumored he'd replace Freddy's spot as the main animatronic. However, Freddy didn't like that. One night when they were allowed to roam free, he tried to break Bruce. Chica came to his rescue, telling Freddy that Bruce meant no harm. After that, Bruce did his best to avoid the stage. Kids started to forget about him, and soon his popularity dropped. While he disliked being so ignored, he didn't want to be on bad terms with Freddy. So he hid out of fear.
It was during his time of hiding that he lost a part of his right wing, most of his arm, and his right foot in the process. (Unknown to him, Freddy told some kids to do it to him as a joke. All fun and games.) He was considered useless and used less and less. While Bruce still performs, he has to sit on something, and he stays in the back to hide himself from the children and to please Freddy. -
Unhappy Theme Song
I used to be able to fly
Fly up high
But now I'm forever stuck to the ground
I used to be able to run
But now I struggle just to walk
Oh
The time ticks by slowly
The songs all get boring
But if it makes them happy,
I'll do it
Though...
[Chorus]
Please don't hurt me anymore
Please don't be afraid
I'm just a little bat
I'm just a little lost
Please don't cry
Please don't say a goodbye
I'm really trying to show my love
I'm despite for company
So please don't hurt me,
Please don't say goodnight
I used to smile all the time
But now I hide in the shadows
I used to be able to sing in the front of the line
Though now I sit in the back all alone
How I wish I could fly
How I wish I could sing
Dance all through the night
Now I'm confined to a corner
I must hide
Now I'm forgetting my place..
I might die
[Chorus]
Please don't hurt me anymore
Please don't be afraid
I'm just a little bat
I'm just a little lost
Please don't cry
Please don't say a goodbye
I'm really trying to show my love
I'm despite for company
So please don't hurt me,
Please don't say goodnight -
Trivia:
-Bruce's bowtie gains glowing eyes whenever he gets angry or upset
-It's unknown what his sexuality is
-(Human Version) He hates eating anything spicy, and will likely stick his tongue out to try to get the spices off, even if it's useless
-(Human Version) Anything having to do with doctors makes him sob and hyperventilate, he's so terrified of being 'fixed'
-Bruce is never seen without his bowtie -

Can I please just...interrupt for a second?
- You stay and sit in one room, which is the security office, for six hours. You can only check the cameras to see the footage in the other rooms. You can't 'approach' anything, but you can only watch them on the camera.
- There isn't any visual footage in the kitchen. The camera in the kitchen is disabled to audio only, so you wouldn't be able to see Bruce either way.
- Every other character has a quick scream that lasts only two seconds and then the player dies. You would also see a quick glimpse of the animatronic attacking you. (Those frequencies must hurt, man.)
I highly suggest you go ahead and download and play this demo of the actual game. It's the demo that I've played, so I'm pretty sure it's a safe download. It might help you brush up on some information. -
I fixed the first thing so I'm not sure why you're pointing it out.
It's still information that can be there? Either way he starts off in the kitchen and the 'player' would hear him.
I know the kill scream lasts only a few seconds, but I couldn't get the audio to last a mere two seconds.
I'm good, thanks. -
I saw the "Update on his bio!!!" and still saw this: "You can approach him without being attacked." Was this a mistake, or am I misunderstood?
Yes, but the fact that Mike himself can't really see him, I don't know, maybe you could just say that he starts out in the kitchen?
I see.
Your choice. -
OMG I THOUGHT I TOOK THAT OUT YES THAT'S A MISTAKE
meows leave it beeeeeeeeeeee ;;
Yeah.
I'll play it later.
