Thread Topic: What should I write a story about?

I'm trying to get some practice in writing improv stuff. So give me a topic and I'll dish out a quick short story about it. My only request is no fan-fics.

a young man who finds two magic dice, which, if rolled onto a snake eyes, will grant him good luck for a hour.. but if he doesnt roll a snake eyes, he gains bad luck for an hour.

It's been six days. In six days I have lost 3 friends, my job, my home, and have been bankrupt twice and mugged six times. In six days I have also won the lottery twice, was the millionth customer to four different super markets, and met the girl of my dreams.
Now here I sit, at a table in a bar with the tainted dice in my hands about to decide my fate for the next hour. I've gotten pretty good at predicting what'll happen if I get what I need or not. And by the looks of the crowd in this bar, I don't know if I'll survive a bad roll this time. Let's hope for the best.

(This was actually really hard to write about. I tried to do a story from the scene of the psychiatric ward after he tried to tell people he had magic dice, but that was getting lengthy and had no good ending.

"BEHOLD FOR I AM LORD WATT, SUPREME MASTER OF LIGHTS AND DIODES!"
For some reason, screaming this didn't seem to leave a lasting impression on the people of town square. They seemed to all be more captivated by the man wearing a towel, screaming at them from the top of city hall. Honestly though, for only discovering this power earlier today, I didn't really have a lot of time to plan this out.
Maybe if they arrest me I can pick my way out with the light bulb. Let's just hope that someone else notices that I have a power quick, because from what I can hear, the police are on their way, and tasers aren't made of gallium. -
