I don't think apocalypse is way to go for this challenge.

So for plot,
1, The plane, just to give a little background on why they're on the plane and the crash.
The survivor winners were on their plane to italy, a near perfect flight. Up until the pilot started talking he only said three things, and the three most important things in this story. "Please buckle your seatbelts we are encountering turbulence", "Are right turbine was hit by lightning and is broken, please enter crash position", and finally "We are crashing into the water, get your lifevests ready" followed by by nothing but static.
2, scavenge, gathering the supplies needed to survive, the search for food and setting up shelter. At end mentioning of a small raft they were making.
All except the pilot survived. They had swam to a nearby island. At first sight the island was hospitable, but then, everything else was so far from it. Like the oasis in the desert, this was the only hope. The first day wasn't much, all they did was start a fire and realise making shelter was not posssible with their few possessions. Getting food was simple enough, climb a tree and pick from the top. It gave hope to them that few was easy to get. They even managed to start work on some tools, nothing complicated. Just rough axes really. They used them to get wood. They knew they couldn't stay their forever so started work on a raft.
3, natives. Natives are on that island and they aren't happy. Brief fight scene (somebody dies (non native(natives die some too))) before they realise its hopeless, grabbing what little supplies they have before launching in the raft.
It was the fourth night on the island. The raft was going well, the frame was built they just needed a sail. And they had enough food in advance for a few days, but the living conditions were far from suitable. Then they heard a battle cry, a guttural sound for the better part of a minute. They all heard it, there heads turned to see a tribe of natives, wielding spears and shields. They knew they didn't have a chance. Several of them grabbed their makeshift axes and spears to try and delay the natives so the others could prepare to launch the raft. They were 100 feet away, the food was being loaded. 20 feet, moving the ship off land. 10 feet, they didn't dare look behind them. The natives were many but unskilled, they'd try and stab your gut repeatedly and it was easy to counter. 5 corpses later one yelled out "The boat is ready!" and they truned and ran. However joker wasn't fast enough, he was stabbed in the back. And the last thing they saw drifting away was them eating his corpse.
4, next, them drifting to a new island. Deciding only to gather food with plans of setting off again.
After 2 days drifting randomly at sea they spotted an island, having no steering they had to row with their hands. After several exhausting hours and much swearing later they finally reached the island. It appeared safe but so did the place where jokers bones remain, taking no chances they planned to be gone by sundown. After a few hours replenishing food and making spears in case of another run in they were ready to go. They launched due west, towards where land should be.
5. Drifting, the journey to florida. You can have sharks, hunger drama, whateva just make it dramatic.
6, boat. They spot a boat, they try and signal it by setting fire to some if their supplies. The happy ending.
Rough draft for part of it, I can't do this challenge on my own guys. -

When a tornado runs through a small town, it sends the inhabitants to random places around the world. Two siblings and their babysitter get transported to a small island in the Bahamas. The group has no idea how to get back. To make matters worse, there is a tribe of otherworldly beings living on the island and the group made a terrible first impression. Now, the group, along with some otherworldly allies, must find a way to leave, and survive.
If you don't like the "otherworldly" approach, then it can just be a normal tribe of regular people. -
We're running out of time, I'll just start the one danny suggested (+tweak) so we have a chance of getting something done ._.
