Pallid poppys pleasantly lie -
Paltry and plain to parochial pedestrians
Just pedantic peers of paranoia
The flowers feeling faceless
Fading to faint fantasies
About the formidable future
Wishing for a wayward withdrawal
They wearily wonder why
Their whimsical selves waste away -
To feel my warm breath
against your cool skin
Is pure ecstasy
Lips lock intimately
Bringing life to everything
Except you
The dark world is brightening
And our voyage is revealed
To the silent men in
the ground
Hands pull you out
Wishing you would follow me
To a happy place where
You would never be
disturbed again
And I would just like to say to you
Your pale skin is the
highlight of my night -
One man who was named King
Struggled to obtain equality
Because Conner was corrupt
Ruling a police-state polity
On this note the blacks protested
King told of the Emancipation Proclamation
And declarations of independence
Much to the blacks adulation
And he spoke of turning back
Of how he would never
Until all of God's children had rights
And freedom would ring forever
So on that day
King had a dream
To hold truths as self-evident
With all men as a team
King let freedom ring
The snow capped Rockies were surpassed
Ringing from city to suburbia
Thank God Almighty they are free at last -
You're very talented.
