Sadies medium blonde hair was thrown in front of her eyes by the wind. She ran to the cliff, her boyfriend Ryan following behind. Ryan wiped a lock of thin black hair out of his eyes as he took Sadies hand.
Sadie giggled and looked into Ryans eyes. The rain had finally stopped, leaving a fresh smell in the air. Both Ryan and Sadies shoes sank in the mud.
She's so gorgeous.. Ryan thought as he moved closer to Sadie. He's so perfect... Sadie thought as she, too, moved in. Finally, their lips met in a sweet kiss.

Sadies foot suddenly slipped on the mud. She screamed as her fingers slipped past Ryans and she fell into darkness.
"SADIE!!!!"
Sirens sounded. Helicopters and news vans rushed to the scene. Witnesses were interviewed until they were dizzy.
Ryan was relieved to hear that Sadie had survived the fall.
"On a sadder note," the doctor told Ryan, "She has fallen into a deep coma. We do not know when or if she will wake up."
Ryan's stomach flipped.
"How is she now? When may I see her?" he asked, his voice shaking.

The doctor turned around and opened a door, revealing a bleak hospital room. The bed against the right wall held a girl, about 15-16 years, in a full body cast. Sadie was unrecognizable, except for a lock of hair that barely peeked from the bandages. Ryan fell to his knees next to the bed as he began to sob softly.The part of her face that he could see was scarred, pale and lifeless, which broke his heart more.
