I've heard of plenty of Americans who move to Japan, and they're easily accepted. Racists/xenophobes are everywhere, you just have to find the right type of people.
-
Actually, I'm pretty sure they're right, Japan not a big fan of foreigners, they want tourists, but none to move there.
I'd like to visit there for like a week for a vacation but that's about it. They shun foreigners. According to someone I know who has lived there, there are 'Japanese Only' places.
Also, drawing anime is a hobby that can be done anywhere, if you want to get a job in that, you'll have one f---ing hell of a time trying to get one, if you start out as a assistant, I heard a lot of manga artists won't hire people that aren't Japanese.
As for music....good luck ._. I don't know, I've never heard of a foreigner who got famous for making Japanese music before, I bet there are some, but none that I know of.
Unless you're a japanese looking asian or something of the sort....good luck.
Mek or whatever is right, think long and hard, and be careful. -
I'm going to say it plain and simple, I'm a pale Native American. :B They can suck on it that I'm there.
If you're thinking music, you better find big man producer who helped a lot of bands get where they are today. Of course it shouldn't be hard to figure out who that is. ^-^ He's a movie and music producer. Has a home somewhere in California, that's also where his company is located. I think they're in the same town, I'll have to ask Hannah. -
Well, I'm a slightly chubby white girl. I know I wouldn't be hard to notice in a crowd. .3.

They can suck on it that you're there too. We let their people in our country, they can let us in theirs. (especially since we're supposed to be helping with the accident unless everything's finished, but still!)

Thanks people.

Yup. :3

My mom and I both look like various Asian ethnics so it's hard to tell where i'm from so I'll be fine there. LOL
@Mo SM entertainment (I think, the bigshot korean/japanese/asian music company thingy?) were holding auditions for people to become the next big thing in Japan/Korea.
They came here.
I forgot to audition. OTL.
They'll be mainly in the US though, next time they come around, try them. -
People give me double-takes and try to ignore/exclude me all the time, and I still get by.
