Roleplaying can actually improve your writing skills. In fact, it is writing, unless you're just doing "Sparky: GROWL GROWL *killz evry1* UR ALL DEAD!!! HOWL!!!" crap. 75% of everything I know about writing comes from being in a heckload of roleplays/soap operas.
