tongue AdvancedIn the Old Testament, if your mother is Jewish, you are Jewish. My father is actually the Jew between my parents. My mother is a gentile(non-Jew), and she did not convert to Judaism because my dad didn't give a s---. So technically speaking, I am not a Jew. I choose to indentify with my Jewish heritage, however, because the Jewish people have suffered many hardships throughout history. When your ancestors have been marked for persecution or death, that's just a part of who you are. I guess it's almost a survivor's mentality. There will come a time when I can no longer identify myself as Jewish, should I marry a non-Jew and have non-Jewish babies. Anyway, that is my story.

Yeah, I've kind of grown up with good knowledge and closeness with Jewish culture, even though I'm not Jewish. Really a strong people, having gone through years and years of persecution, and still having their culture and identity. :3
