If you're calling experience credit (stuff that mkes your experience bar go up and eventually raises your level) then the two ways that make most of an impact are using the forums and creating quizzes.

To get credit or to be known around GTQ you have to either make quiz's lots of them to get your experience level up. You could also use the forums but you have to post a lot from my experience. Oh and you don't get respect from everybody on your first week or days here, you have to earn that. If you act like a noob being annoying or spamming then a lot of people won't like you nor respect you. Well thats pretty much of what I could think of at the moment.
