  I made a quiz and it
  1. Didn't show my username with the link (where it's in blue) and
  2. Didn't make my status bar go up!

  Well, this is rather common. Most of the time it take a while to load, most of the time up to a day. If it's not solved by the end of the week, ask again.

  Making a quiz does not guarantee your bar going up, it only helps.
  
  What makes your bar go up is how many people take your quiz: 10 people take it, your bar won't move.
  
  1000? Then you'll definitely see a bit of a boost.
  
  For the link, that happens all the time. Give it a bit of time, i'll be blue soon.
