Thread Topic: Update on the current breakdowns on GTQ

Actually, I haven't been having any more problems with it as of late. It's really been toning down.
-
Really? then why is it that it was only when it glitched that I could get to it and it actually "work"?
-
i dunno
but that feature hasnt really done much so yeah -
It seems to be a pattern. I remember this happening on 8-10 July, so the next one will probably be on 8-10 January.
-
Lol conspiracy theories
I had the same problems Dark did. -
It's only this site
I've been watching YouTube for 40 minutes and nothing happened -
Based on the info you all have given, my first guess is that the database is locking up at regular intervals, then returning to normal. This would cause the "technical difficulties" message as well as 404s on forum threads. Is this problem still happening today, October 12?
-
Finally. Email after email you finally check what's going on, GoToQuiz Guy. :I
-
And no. To my belief, that 404 error has stopped since yesterday on saturday, October 11th.
-
No, it stopped happening yesterday or the day before.
-
Excuse me, on Sunday. Oopsy, but I would just check and make sure that everything is going on just fine if I were you.

That error was generated when you went to comments during the problem -
Kind of disappointed in you for using php 3 :P
-
Investigating the slow query log, I'm pretty sure I found the cause and fixed it.
-
@The Geek, I'm in the process of moving the site over to Linode and PHP 5.6. It's taking time because I'm refactoring a lot of messy old code. Also, that's just some legacy naming, the site isn't stuck on PHP 3!
