Dude: I felt that same way. I left for a few weeks over the summer, and when I came back everybody I knew had disapeared. It's like newbs tell their friends, and then these people run out the good users with their crap! Now, some of the higher ranked people act like complete newbs! I don't know why I come on here anymore... probally because it's one of a handful of sites that loads on my dsi web browser.

Look, the majority if you are just looking at the bad parts of this. Just like the classmates of mine, that the friends I do have and I agree that are just b----es. I'm not saying that's how you're acting, but when I was a newb at school, people started treating me like garbage within my first year; just like on here. You all want to be mean to the new people, you'll be being just like my b----y classmates, that will never be friends. And, let's say you do scare off the new users; what happens as each of the older users start to not come on anymore? The number of users here goes down, and the lounge starts getting as slow of posts as forums like the ballroom or the server room. They rarely get any posts; imagine the lounge like that! Who's going to want to be on a site like that, where it takes 3 hours to get one response? Nobody, that's who.
Now who wants the GoToQuiz forums to die?

@grey: i see what your saying,and i understand and can respect what you mean. im just tired and irritated by all of this to the point im not being as considerate as i should be. i apologize. but that doesnt change the fact there needs to be something done about the newbies. if everyone is against the whole "scare them away" idea,then we could at least have someone to whip them into tolerable shape. kinda like a school/mentor for gtq forums.

You ignore the posts you dislike, and if they are viewed as inappropriate someone of power will take care of them.
But you aren't doing that, you're feeding them. You're also taking 1 fools actions and saying you need to get rid of all newbies. -
Esel: If we ignore them, even if you think it will work, they'll just act like they own gtq! We need to at least show them that the older users deserve more respect! If we ignore them, then as dude said, older users will be run out.

*frowns* But think of it like this: Gtq is a ton of people in a room talking. The newbs are preschoolers running around, screaming, jumping on, climbing, and scratching people. They start throwing stuff in your face. So tell me now: Can you ignore that?

On the internet ignoring something causes it to cease to exist.
Also for your analogy I have many friends with younger siblings, some well behaved some have adhd. They're not that bad. I could likely even have a small conversation with them.

Okay, I give up. If you think it's best to ignore them, then do it. Everybody in the end does what they think is best anyway, right? And I guess that different sense of right and wrong is what defines us human. And honestly, it's not like we should ignore everybody with a newbie title, becuase some people act like untamed children, and that gives an entire group a bad rep. Just like my math class...

Funny, Nerdist, considering that you were a troll once, faked your own death, told us all these lies and pissed us off several times. You may have been here for a year but that doesn't make you an older user, you have to prove it with maturity, and honestly I think that S_E_ has a better say in this than you do.
