Exactly. You need to see the consequences, and go through knowing it all, in-stead of looking at all the goody-goody side and expecting it to be perfect.

Don't worry. Everyone will start to suddenly stop complaining within 2-4 weeks. (just like Google+ and Facebook Timeline).

I've been lurking around a lot, but I think since I got the mod status, I've only even used the voice like 5 times. Marked offensive even less than that.
The way I see it, GTQ is at an in-between phase. We're too large to have no system of policing, but we're too small to have such a large system. You can't have a resolute system, when nobody here can remain unbiased and active at the same time. And yet you can't have a system of anarchy when people who abuse it run rampant.
So as a member of GTQ, I have no intention of disappearing, but as a moderator, I don't want to use my power until it's needed. And that's my advice to all the mods. Don't fall in to the stereotype. Just because you have a gun, does not mean you should be tempted to use it. -
I haven't used the voice yet. .w. I've clicked the offensive button three times as of yet- twice to help someone delete a post that they didn't want around, and once against one of Mark the Reaper's posts.
So just to be perfectly clear, in spite of the implications I'm seeing against me, no, I'm not abusing power. I don't appreciate that lack of faith.
