SilverBlueMoon NoviceFor the record, crushes are a normal part of growing up. One simply cannot control hormones, they occur naturally as one progresses into adulthood. They are what lets a person become an adult. And consider that without hormones, you wouldn't be here.
Now, allow me to paint this image for you: almost every girl has a crush at some point. Yes, I include myself in this catagory. Yet I know for a fact that I will not fall into the future you foretell for us. I don't own any makeup, and I make certain to follow my school's dress code, which is rather conservative by today's standards. I am an honor student with a GPA that is over 4.0, and known as the school's resident genuis. Just because I have a crush does not mean that we will ever be together. And I'm too worried about getting into Harvard three years from now to even think about doing anything that could get me pregnant.
And I'm sure that somehow you'll twist this around until I'm the imprudent, foolish child here. Yet I feel that I must make my case for every teenage girl here. Not all of us are destined to become teenaged mothers who sleep around with every boy they see. You take the few bad apples of the bunch and decide that we must all be the same.
And to be perfectly frank, I am about ready to lose my temper here. Just because I'm younger than you does not mean that you truly do know best. In fact, I'm willing to bet that you do not.
And yes, I know that this is an older thread, and that it should be left to fade away. But I felt incapable of letting this go without tossing in my two cents.
