so, uhhh, im aroace, but have recently been wanting to find a platonic partner. i have no true idea how to go about this, as i am agender/demi-boy, aroace, and am open about how i am. I'm also not sure how to set my boundaries and say that i only want a platonic relationship.
if anyone has advice, please help me. -
Not many people want platonic relationships in real life tbh. If you like someone, be committed to giving it a chance bc thats actually playing on their emotions

^Agree to disagree. You can have platonic relationships so long as you explain in the beginning it's platonic. And for sure aroace peeps can have platonic relationships.

That makes no sense but im not willing to argue. Sure, platonic relationships may work online or with a friend, but dont expect the genuity of an actual relationship built on normal conditions

Its actually easy. If you wanna go into a relationship that should be healthy, keep an open mind to it, if you actually feel attracted to them bc you like them and not just because 'you interestedin getingtoaplatonicrelationship'OR just opt for friendship instead.

Honestly, disregarding the nonsense I just read, all you have to do is express that you only wish for a platonic relationship. Only two things can happen. Either the person will want the same or they won't be interested in that. There are other people out there who look for the same thing, so don't get discouraged.
