Thread Topic: Have you ever been confused about your sexuality?

I've had one crush, and I barely even count that, because I tried to discourage it, because I knew nothing was going to happen between us.

Oh jeez I've had SOOOO many crushes ahehehehe

I've always assumed I was straight because of being raised in a generation that's all about heteronormativity.
Then one day, in middle school, I got exposed to the existence of "other sexualities".
It was on a thread here, actually! Someone made a thead that was one of those chain threads, and it was like "guess the secuality of the user above you!" And whenever someone guessed MY sexuality, they said pan!
After that, it all clicked in a freaking INSTANT. Like, in my mind I was like "oh they kinda right tho" and then "oh I'm not straight" and then "honestly I'm not surprised". Like, I never even had a questioning phase, I just suddenly knew it was true because of someone's post on this site 😂😂
And here's a little backstory: since I never knew people could be something other than heterosexual, I always tried to keep in on the low about how much I found girls more attractive than guys. I remember watching dancing with the starts or something with my family, and I pointed at a girl saying "mama! Look, she's so pretty!" And then my mom was like "look at him though, he's sexy" and I just looked at her in surprise because I just couldn't fathom how she found that guy attractive.
And a few years later, me and my family were joking around and talking about our futures. Me, being a kid who couldn't find guys attractive, decided to describe my "dream husband" as the most MASCULINE guy I could think of. I was like "really black and really tall. Super muscular because he works for the military-" and looking back on it I find my description hilarious 😂👌
And the last bit of backstory before I wrap up: throughout my years in elementary school, it became evident to me that all my girl friends had crushes on guys and stuff. So, like a freaking scientist or something, I deduced who the most-liked or the most-attractive guy was in my grade and I'd "choose" him as a crush! I never actually liked any of the guys I chose, but everytime a girl would ask "who's your crush?" I would have an answer xD it was ridiculous, I'm lucky I didn't run into any embarrassing situations from doing that!! -
OH MAN I FORGOT TO ADD THIS, and it's like the cherry on top of the sexuality sundae: Whenever I described my incredibly masculine dream husband, I also said that he would be bald!! XD
My brother still makes fun of me for that! -
:) Lol I love that.

@Keys: nah xd im straight i just wanted to see how it looks like

I thought I was straight because I've dated mostly girls, but I ended up falling in love with a guy. Gender doesn't seem to be a factor; all that matters is the emotional connection.
So basically I date whoever tf I want.
