(Not trying to start an argument, just adding my thoughts)
To me, I think it really depends on the reason you're dating. If you're dating just to date, sure this is absolutely true. However, if you're dating for more than that, it's okay to cry. As you start loving them, thinking about a future, it would be hard not to cry if something happens -
I mean, not all exes are exes because you stopped loving each other or anything. Sometimes, the circumstances just aren't right. Besides, if you don't cry, you might never get out those feelings and you'll just be bitter towards that person. It's so easy to just hate the other person and push away sadness in favour of anger. That's not fair to that person, though.

Also, to add on to you guys, say you broke up just because it didn't work out. Saying not to cry over them because you're worth more then them is not right. Because flip that over and look at it from their point of view. You're calling them worthless. And if you're just not right for each other, then there's nothing worthless about the other person, about yourself. I mean even if your ex was a jerk that still doesn't make them worthless... I understand what you're saying though. Do wait for the person right for you. Anyway not saying you're wrong, just popping in.
