Crush has been my crush for a very long time. About four years. For around 2 years, we have been friends, but recently we are growing apart. I understand that we were both teased a lot for being friends, but he never even messages me anymore. Also, we have spent a few months apart recently, as one of his friends hacked my phone and it turns out that Crush was to blame for the idea. It is also worth noting that I have told him that I like him once or twice before. He found it awkward at first, but then told me he wasn't ready for that type of stuff. Luckily, our close friendship didn't break down after the second time. I still like him. I am contemplating staging a dare game with my closest friends and asking him out as a "dare". Is this a good idea?

Wouldn't it be better that he goes out with you because he wants to? Not because he has to?

I suppose. I don't mean to pressurize him, but he is one of my best friends and the only boy I can be myself around.

As a girl I hate it when a guy asks me or one of my friends out as a dare. It is SO annoying. Even if you are trying to do it if you have feelings. If I were in your position, I would ask him out on your own accordance just you and him. Tell him how you feel.
