Thing i submitted to the school art show
Quick fun fact i find still lifes boring as hell to be honest but its all we've been doing so c: gotta be open minded and learn to love them
Was thinking about submitting it to the city art show but to be honest i find this piece boring..? Like it doesn't really tell a story and you can tell it was just done because it was an assignment
An assignment that f---ed me over Because i keot messing up value tones bUtttttttt
Anyway
I get this piece back on monday so im like 10/10 excited to put that in my portfolio
I think I have an idea... I'm not really sure, though.
Materials you use to create this:
Grey paper same measurement as mona was
Reference photo
Gummy eraser (like half of the f---ing thing i ended up using)
White pencil
I used 6b, 4b, b, and hb pencils
* - 3 - why is it cut off on the bottom/ picture crooked?*
Honey, the frame has a business card of my school name, my real name, my grade, and my artwork info on it I don't want that on the internet
a dumb--- on instagram claimed i was lying about this being my art so i got salty with them and now im salty with the world so excuse me if this comes off as salty or bragging it's really not meant to be ig im just really short tempered
All in all it took me 5 class periods to complete it with teacher assistance/ feedback and only like 2 times i cried working on it at home the best advice i got from my teacher which im kind of putting on here for future reference is "don't be so hard on yourself/ don't tear away at your own art because if you do you'll never be satisfied with what you create"

Got some sketches to post
So i had homework from drawing and the teacher made us draw hands in different positions but like I guess I have senioritis or something because I forgot to do them so i improvised some during the last thirty minutes of my calculus class so here they are:
I guess he caught my bs because i only had 4 of the 10 that we needed to have so i still got a 5/10 = F so i have to make that up but it's hell
Annotations or whatever ft my messy handwriting stating i need to work on shading and proportion which is so true especially w hatching
Now working on trying to find out what to do w the oil paint hands I have to draw which is hell -
Ignore the orange colored pencil it's what im using for the base outline of my sketch idea thing for another project
10/10 drawing hands w/o reference
Next time use references instead of looking dumb and staring at your hand the whole time or bring a charger for your dead phone -

Im kind of broke now bc i don't have a job and live off art show profits/ babysitting bc im moving out of town so i actually can't even afford buying new art supplies so whatever it is that i post on here will just be assignments instead of for fun until i get into college and even th3n i doubt I'll post bc im studying engineering instead of art :/ rip hair and art dream i suppose this thread is closed for now.

Was at a thing last night i was wastwd but also reading a pdf book of 1984 i swear i read this line like 6 times before i realised it was the same one
I asked my friend for printer paper and i took a small piece of charcoal we found in his drawer and i sketched that out in 10 minutes it was supposed to be a telescreen coming out of his throat but i f---ed it up and we have that now
