I just don't see a female character representing Mexico... :| There just isn't too many women in Mexico's history so that the country can be represented by women. It just doesn't work. >.>'
That and if we make Mexico a girl, we do understand that we can't put all the qualities of a Mexican in her because, being as biased as I am, she's a girl. Sure, we can put her in a dress and her hair in ponytails, but it's just not the same with a male. With a male you represent the culture better, because you know.. Men are more valued there, and unlike women they tend to be more.. Unique to the culture. They tend to show it more.
And a drunk party girl just scares me a little.. Just a little man..
I don't know, being from Mexico myself I just don't like the idea of Mexico being a girl. -
That's understandable. I picture Mexico as a boy anyways, and no matter what Fern will be the real Mexico in my mind (Just like my Ireland will be the real Ireland)
-
I love your Ireland. I really can't imagine Ireland being a boy, and when I think of Ireland OCs I always think of your lovely Evelyn~
Mexico's become more of a deep conscious voice than an OC to me. Eh, just figures that you should never make an OC for your country because you will get attached. -
Daw, we thank you. :D
I know what you mean, but I don't care if that dude makes the characters different. He don't know what real Mexico is like anyway. >:P -
Oh I say no problem to both of you herpderrrrp. :D
Well as long as he makes Mexico a boy, I'll be fine. I don't care much for the appearance. x'D
Fern's not much anyway, he's just what I've seen from living in Mexican most of my years. -
**Mexico not Mexican
-
^w^
Yeah, though it's cool how he's based on real things.
I can't remember if he released a sketch or something yet, but I'm pretty sure he's making Ireland a boy. At least that's what 75% of fanart/fiction would portray. :P -
People are making him a boy because they think it would look sexy with red hair.. Ireland just seems to scream 'girl' to me. Idk. They should give her a chance, at least.
It's like Guatemala. A lot of people make Guatemala a man but I imagined Guatemala as a girl.
