Can two characters that 'hate' each other have a stable relationship? It's a common theme in anime romance I've seen (not just yaoi). Perhaps rivals could, since there isn't exactly a hatred, but competition. But some characters are more difficult to see together. Russia and Prussia? Seems pretty cute, but I know first hand that many Prussians despise Russia, pretty much brought down their nation. Honestly it sounds like it would be a relationship of Russia seeking control of Prussia against his will, thus rape.
I'm really just rambling cause I'm bored. xD But yeah, something I've thought of. Then you get into the idea of stockholm syndrome, affection for your owner. But that's not stable, or healthy. So yeah. Just some thoughts.
