Excuse you, my dear but there are some fine quality anime/cartoons in this era as well, although rare gems they are still there.
I agree a lot of it is really bad, but I find that Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a very well done anime from this era (it's also a "Magical girl" anime as well) -
Tiger and Bunny has been recognized as one of the best animes of this era as well, and it is very well done in both the character and plots.. xP It was released less than five years ago.
You can't just categorize everything as "bad" or "crap" when you've seen only a handful of stuff. -
Imma stick to my modern-day fav magical girl anime, Doki Doki Precure.
