Yeah, I'm just wondering: Who here likes shounen-ai(yaoi) and/or shoujo-ai(yuri)? If so, which do you think is better? If not, why do you dislike it? Come and comment/rant here~

Hmm... I suppose some people don't really like either. I can see why, though. In fact, my best friend pulled me into yaoi (she simply adores it) and got mr to like it, too. Yet, she doesn't like yuri in the slightest bit. I wonder why that is...
{btw, when I refer to yaoi/yuri/shounen-ai/shoujo-ai, I'm referring to the...um...NON-explicit version. As in, the sweeter, cuter, none-too-graphic type. But, if you do wish to discuss /that/ type, you are free to do so...I guess...} -
My friend who likes a lot of anime likes yaoi/yuri. I think she wrote a yaoi story too lol. I don't personally read it but I have nothing against it.

Lolz, yeah, my bff makes me write yaoi stories with her every day after school X3 I hated yaoi at first, but somehow, she managed to get me into it. o_O Seriously, how can some people do that? Like, totally change your outlook on things? I have no idea, but lol yeah

Yeah lol me too, her story was actually really good she writes a lot of anime stories and has introduced me to stuff I wouldn't normally know about. It's cool lol

Really? I'll have to read her story sometime But, yah, aren't friends weird/epic like that? I mean, if it weren't for my best friend, I probably wouldn't even know what anime was
But, I'm glad no yuri/yaoi bashers have came yet. But, I'm quite surprised, really. There's quite a few people I know that just can't stand yaoi or yuri -
Yeah my friends are epic too, I don't know a lot of anime but she is sharing a lot of cool stuff.
I think yuri/yaoi bashers shouldn't come here anyway, ya know. If you don't like something don't take part in it. Idk why some people like to make fun of other people for different interests. -
I know right! I mean, it's kinda like Twilight. I read the books, didn't like them, but you don't see me bashing the book. =_= There's a lot of haters that go really way too far.
But, yah, my bff knows a lot of anime and mt new friend knows a LOT a lot of anime, but a lot of it id yaoi and yuri, and it's really quite good. My friends are so nice -
Yeah lol my friends are awesome too. Are there any mangas/anime you'd recommend from this genre?

LOL! I think I've heard of Loveless and Straberry Panic. My friends have given me homework as well. The mom you mention sounds like mine lol but she doesn't really know any anime. I think I might make a story sometime too. I'll post it here if my ideas line up. Thanks for your help by the way.

"Well, you see Kersten, when a boy and a boy love each other very, very much..." and you can just fill in the blank there Lolol, they're the kind of friends that'll spend hours trying to drown a fish, but I love them anyway~ -
LoL that's funny! First time heard about yaoi/yuri was when I asked for my friend Kit's advice for good animes, and she turns to me and says "How open minded are you?" And I'm like, "Um, pretty open minded lol" She smiles and is like "Good! Hope you don't mind..." and she starts making a list of regular animes and then yaoi/yuri LOL and yesh my anime friends are really cool people, she's very hyper and always sits me down (without much choice lol but I always say yes) and make me reads her stories which are awesome.

Ah, cool! Lucky~ My best friend writes stories too, and she's...getting /really/ good at it, which is just a little scary lol, jk...ish. She gets me to help, too(actually, we 'roleplay', you could say. I write half, she writes half, but it's fun)~ Haha, I just adore my friends I probably wouldn't even know what anime even was without them But, yeah, lol, and your friend so really awesome, too!

VegeKaka NoviceI really like yaoi too. i haven't seen yuri, but i'll try! my friend Invited me to her house To show me something 'important' and she ended up going to youtube to show me some Vegeta/Goku and Trunks/Gohan videos and at first i was really mad, but then a few minutes later we watched a few more videos:) she's even showed me some *cough cough* graphic doujinshi. i dunno why, but then she and i started working on some stories on some website. it's really been working out for us:)
