91% I'm pretty sure i have ADHD, and my Mam said she thinks we both have it, but I don't know whether it would be a waste of time getting officially diagnosed or whether it would be embarrassing to ask... I'm a while past when most people get it diagnosed, as I'm 12-14, but would it make my friends and teachers realize that it's really honestly hard for me and I'm not just being silly? People often think that I'm an extrovert, but i have a very small social battery, and i think maybe even social anxiety; it's just really hard for me not to jump around, act immature and blurt things out. Also, when i told one of my friends i think i have it, she said 'wel, even if you do, you have it really mildly because ur smart', for the record, i am average or maybe a teeny, tiny bit over... But it's also like, i know something, it might even be 122 or something, and i'll regularly 'brain fart' over it. I can't concentrate, and people just think it's ridiculous that i'm so clumsy, and i lose my key and phone and waterbottle and shoes and tv remote all in the same day, because im 'smart'. The biggest thing is probably when someone is talking about something i want to hear, it's interesting to know, but i get distracted and can't hear them, or i always skimread, and honestly if you've read this whole thing, you're better at concentrating than me.
The skimreading thing is especially annoying as my favourite pasttime is reading...
