A Hogwarts love story: The philosophers stone(part 13)

This is part 13 of the philosophers stone. It is the end of the year, it has gone by so fast and you will remember all the memories you had there.....

So it's the end of the year which means its time for Harry to get out of hospital, have the end of year feast and to announce who won the House Cup. And you will find out why you will be returning to Hogwarts next year late....

  1. What is your age?
  2. What is your gender?
  1. You visited Harry again sometime in the afternoon the next day by yourself. There were even more "Get well soon" cards and gifts by his bed than yesterday or the day before. You sat on the stool on the side of his bed and held his hand again. "Come on Harry, it's been almost 3 days since you defeated Professor Quirrell and the Dark Lord. You need to wake up soon, it's almost the end of the year, we can't leave you in the hospital while we all board the train to go back home! Come on Harry wake up!" You said happily, and as if Harry understood you he started moving slightly but he was still asleep. You smiled and you could have stayed there longer but Dumbledore came in and asked you to leave so that he may talk with Harry when he wakes; it was as if he knew that Harry would be waking soon. You said bye to Harry and left while Dumbledore stood by the foot of his bed waiting for him to wake up. Outside the hospital you saw Hermione and Ron talking on the stairs. "_________! We thought that you'd be here. How's Harry?" Hermione asked. "Still unconscious when I left but he started moving, so not long till he's out." You said as you walked up the stairs to join them. "Oh __________, I'm sorry but I couldn't find anything about how to fix that bracelet of yours." Hermione said as if it was some big issue. "That's OK. I had been meaning to tell you that I got Draco to fix it for me..." You said as you showed her the bracelet that was on your wrist, "See. Back to normal." "Interesting. How did you fix it?" "Umm...let's just say that sometimes talking can fix all your problems." You said with a wink. You all stayed on the stairs talking for a while; Dumbledore came out of the hospital after visiting Harry and told you that he will be ready to leave the hospital.
  2. You all stayed on the staircase until Harry came out a while after Dumbledore had left. Harry walked out of the hospital while you were all talking so none of you noticed him till he was in front of the stairs. "Harry!" You said excitedly as you ran down the stairs and gave him a hug. "Harry are you OK?" You asked him as you broke away from the embrace. "Yeah I'm fine..." He said to you before looking over your shoulder to Ron and Hermione who were just standing behind you, "Alright Ron?" "Alright. Would ask you the same but someone beat me to it." Ron said. Harry smiled before asking Hermione if she was OK. "Never better." Hermione replied with a big smile. "Come on then. We better get to the great hall for the end of year feast." Ron said as if all the food could be gone in the next 5 minutes.
  3. When you arrive at the hall most people are already there but there are still some that aren't. All four of you were wearing the tall black hats that you were given as part of the uniform that you received at the beginning of the year, and so was everyone else. The banners for the winners of the house cup were all hanging on the ceiling and it was completely clear that Slytherin had won. The Slytherin banners weren't very pretty compared to some of the other houses; the banners were completely green with a white crest in the middle, in the middle of the crest was a snake and underneath the crest it said Slytherin. You sat down on the Gryffindor table so that you could see the Slytherin's, in particular, Draco. Harry and Ron sat opposite you and Hermione was next to you, they were all talking so you just smiled and thought to Draco, "Congratulations on your house winning the cup." He scanned the whole Gryffindor table until he found where you were sitting and smiled back to you, "Congratulations for ALMOST winning the house cup." "What can I say other than Gryffindor's like to have an adventure, even if we do lose points for it." "Yeah well some Gryffindor's aren't very good at having an adventure. Do I need to remind you of the detention in the Dark Forest?" He joked. "It's a good thing that I had a "˜man' with me for protection then."You said sarcastically. "Hey! I'm a man!" You had to stop yourself from laughing because no one would have known what was happening. "Yeah and I'm Voldemort's sister! Ha-ha, maybe in a couple of years Draco." You tried to say it to him in such a way that you didn't sound rude, and from the connection you shared from the bracelet, you could tell that he didn't take it too seriously.
  4. After talking to Draco, you zoned back in to Harry, Ron and Hermione's conversation but because you weren't listening for so long, you had no idea what they were on about. You just sat there for a couple of minutes still listening to their conversation, then McGonagall tapped her glass to make a chiming noise and everyone went silent as Dumbledore stood up to give his end of year speech, "Another year.... gone. And now as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding. The points stand thus: In 4th place, Gryffindor with 312 points..." You saw Draco look at you from across the room smiling and he thought, "Well done! You made fourth place!" You just shook you head and joined in with everyone else's half-hearted congratulations clap for Gryffindor; most Gryffindor's looked very disappointed with their standings in the house cup. "3rd place Hufflepuff with 352 points..." Dumbledore continued, "In 2nd place, Ravenclaw, with 426 points." As well as disappointed clapping from Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, Ravenclaw actually gave a cheer. "And in 1st place with 472 points...Slytherin!" Dumbledore said and Slytherin's cheers were the best reaction that any of the houses had given but when you looked at Snape although he was clapping quickly he still had a mutual expression on his face. When you looked back you saw Draco give a smug grin at Ron who was looking at the Slytherin's as they celebrated.
  5. "Yes, yes. Well done Slytherin, well done Slytherin, however recent events must be taken into account and I have a few last minute points to award..." Dumbledore said, gaining the immediate attention of everyone, "To Miss Hermione Granger, for the cool use of intellect when others were in grave peril, 50 points..." Gryffindor cheered as they moved up in the standings to 3rd but the Slytherin's didn't look too happy, "Second, to Mr Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 50 points. Third, to Miss _____ _______, who stayed behind to look after a friend when others went on an adventure, 10 points..." You smile and blush from embarrassment of being singled out, Harry, Hermione and Ron congratulated you and you even saw Draco give off a small smile, "Fourth, to Mr Harry Potter for pure nerve and outstanding courage...I award Gryffindor house 60 points. And finally it takes a great deal to stand up to stand up to your enemies, and a great deal more to stand up to your friends...I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom." All of Gryffindor cheered for Neville, but he just looked more shocked than anything to react-even to shocked to smile or clap, ""Assuming that my calculations are correct, there is a change of colour in order.." Dumbledore clapped his hands and the green banners changed to red and yellow ones, "Gryffindor wins the house cup!" Everyone in Gryffindor cheered louder than anyone else had done earlier, after Gryffindor stood up so did Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw and you all threw your hats in the air. Slytherin made no attempt to join in the celebrations, as you looked over at Draco once again, you saw that he did throw his hat but it was more at the table in disappointment and anger than celebratory.
  6. "What was that thing that you said to me.....? Oh yeah! Congratulations for ALMOST winning the house cup!" You thought to Draco. "Funny. Well done though, I guess." "What can I say other than Gryffindor's like to have an adventure, especially if we gain points for it." "This conversation seems sort of familiar, like we said the same sort of things about 30 minutes ago. Oh, that's right! Because we did!" Draco sarcastically said. "Hey you were close to winning. We only beat you due to last minute points; maybe next year." You said trying to persuade him in some way to get him out of this sour mood. You didn't speak to him for the rest of dinner, which was a shame because you thought that you had teased him a bit too much and everyone was going home tomorrow because it was the end of the year, so you felt that you wouldn't have a chance to apologise which you wanted to do face to face.
  7. The next morning as you packed your belongings away in your trunk you thought about all the things that had happened this eventful year; meeting Harry, Ron, Hermione, Draco, Oliver, Neville and all the professors, saving Neville during flying lessons, your near death encounter in Quidditch practice and from the mountain troll and Fluffy, your kiss under the mistletoe with Draco and the bracelet that you got from him, your date with Oliver, the adventure with the philosophers stone and lastly the mirror of Erised. You had almost forgotten about looking into the mirror and you still hadn't told anyone about it, maybe you never would, but now that you remembered about the mirror you wonder where it got moved to and if your hearts desire is still the same. Oh well, I guess that you'll never know besides the train would be leaving soon so you needed to hurry up. You quickly finished packing you trunk and rushed to the Owlery, to collect your owl, and hurried to the train station that was at Hogsmeade. When you arrived at the platform you saw Hagrid yelling at everyone to hurry up because the train is ready to leave. You went and gave you luggage and owl to someone who worked on the train, then left to go find Harry, Ron and Hermione, although you kept an eye out for Draco too but if you couldn't find him before you arrive back in London you decided just to apologise through your mental connection.
  8. You saw Hermione leaning out of the carriage door watching Harry talking to Hagrid. "Hey Hermione, ready to go home?" You asked her as you stepped inside the train. "I'm ready but it just won't be the same. Of course I'll be reading all summer but it'll be different not being able to see you guys." "It's OK. We'll write to each other, won't we?" You said looking at Ron who just showed up beside you and looking back at Hermione. "Of course." They both said together. Harry walked back to you three who were still standing at the door waiting for him, as Harry got into the train, Hermione said, "Feels strange to be going home, doesn't it?" "I'm not going home, not really." Harry replied. You understood what he meant, but unlike him you had a wizarding family, well sort of, your mother was a muggle but your father came from an all wizarding family. From what he told you about meeting your mother, his pure-blood family wasn't very happy about him marrying a muggle and producing a half-blood daughter. If being at Hogwarts was anything like having a full pure-blood family, then you wanted one.
  9. All four of you find an empty carriage and sit in it, but before long you get bored and decide to go for a walkabout on the train. You walk past many people that you don't know or recognise, however you soon bumped into Neville. "Hey Neville, ready to go home?" You asked. "Yeah but summer won't be that much fun with my Grandmother." Neville said. "Well we'll write to each other, won't we? That's something to do at least." "Yeah, I'll try." "Ok then, well I'm going to continue on my little stroll around the train. See you next year." You said and walked off. As you were walking you saw a clump of older boys, you didn't know any of them or what year they were in, one of the boys was walking backwards right in your direct pathway, you tried to move out of the way but he just bumped into you. You were just about to fall over but the boy who had bumped into you grabbed your arm and steadied you back on your feet. It was Oliver. "Beginning of the year you bump into me, end of year I bump into you. Strange isn't it?" Oliver said with a smirk. "Quite." You said feeling a bit awkward talking to him around his friends. "When I write letters to you over the summer I hope I get more than a one word answer." He winked at you, which made you blush a tiny bit because his friends were still there listening to your conversation. "I'll try. See, more than one word!" You joked. "10 points to ______ because she said more than one word! Looks like our letters are going to be interesting..." He laughed. "Ha, well I best be off. See you next year." You said and left. You probably covered about half of the train before you finally saw Draco who was about to go into a carriage, probably where Crabbe and Goyle were. "Draco..." You said as you walked over to him before he went in the compartment. "I wanted to talk to you before we got off at London." "Oh really?!" Draco said with a smirk and wink. "Yeah. I'm really sorry about the feast yesterday." "What about it?" "For teasing you about Slytherin not winning.........I...I just thought that you...were annoyed or were....upset." "No. I'm not competitive, apart from if it's against Potter; which it sort of was-but that's not the point. Anyway, I wouldn't have been put in Slytherin if I couldn't handle a little bit of teasing." "Well then, as long as you're OK. Should I expect replies to my letters during the summer?" "No." He smiled. "Well why not?" You said annoyed. "Because I'd rather talk to you like this. This way I won't forget what your voice sounds like when I next see you next year." Draco said through the mental connection the bracelet gave you.
  10. You smiled, "Good answer. Well then, until next year Draco." You waved and walked off once again to go round the train. You didn't really see anyone else after that so you went and got changed out of your robes and returned to your carriage. All three acknowledged your return but didn't say anything to you, just continued with their little chat. You didn't say anything but when there was a gap in the conversation you asked Harry, "You'll write to me over the summer, won't you...?" But you quickly added, "Well...not just me of course! All of us!" "Yes-absolutely! You guys are my first friends, of course I'll write!" Harry said almost excitedly. You just smiled; none of you spoke afterwards and you just looked at the beautiful countryside outside of the window for the rest of the ride.
  11. You stepped onto the platform at Kings Cross station, it didn't feel like it had been a year yet-it felt strange. You told Harry, Ron and Hermione that you would see them next year and left to go collect your things. Once you had your owl and trunk you looked for your father; you eventually found him waiting for you by pillar that had the 9 ¾ sign on it. "Welcome back darling! How was Hogwarts?" You father asked you as he hugged you. "It was great! I can't wait till next year. Next year I might be the Gryffindor Seeker, my captain told me." You said. "Did you make any friends? Any "˜guy friends' that I should know about?" He winked. "I did make some friends actually, and some of them are guys but it's not like any of them are my boyfriend." "Good.I hear that Lucius Malfoy and Arthur Weasley's youngest son started their first year too, how are they doing?" Your dad works for the ministry of magic so he knows Draco and Ron's fathers. "Draco got sorted into Slytherin, of course, and Ron is in Gryffindor, like me." "Well that's good. Your mother is waiting for you on the other side of the barrier, we better get going." He took your hand and you ran through the barrier together. Your mother greeted you and asked you how the year went, but that's really all she could ask as she didn't know much about magic. You got in the car and drove back to your house.
  12. Once you took your owl and trunk upstairs to your bedroom, you met your parents who were waiting to tell you something important downstairs. "_______, sit down please." You mother said and you cautiously took the seat that she was gesturing to. "______, your Aunt Louisa is getting married in September." You dad said. Your Aunt Louisa was on your father's side, she had his green eyes and long curly brown hair, and she was quite pretty and only about 20 years old. "But the new Hogwarts year starts in September...." You protested. "She wants you to be her bridesmaid and we will be going to Italy at the start of the school year. We will be over there for a long, long time because they are still sort of planning, but you will be back at Hogwarts by....November...." Your dad said. "NOVEMBER?! But that's two months of school!" "Don't worry ______; you'll be back at Hogwarts before you know it. Time will fly by." Your mother reassured you. You stormed upstairs and locked yourself in your bedroom. You loved your Aunt Louisa, she wasn't like most of your father's family who didn't really like you being a half-blood-she was different; but you wanted so much to go back to Hogwarts, you loved it there.
  13. Your anger must have seeped through the bracelet and alerted Draco that something was wrong. "What's up _____?" Draco asked. "I won't be back at Hogwarts till November; I have to go to my Aunt's wedding." You said disappointedly. "Oh. Have fun, don't worry, it's not that bad, the months will go quickly and.....and.......you'll be back, so it's OK." He said reassuring you, you could tell that he was disappointed too, but maybe not as much as you were. "Thanks Draco, I guess you're right. I better write to the others to tell them that I'll be back in November." "Well, I'll talk to you later then." Draco said. You wrote letters to Oliver, Hermione, Harry, Ron and Neville, all the letters basically said the same thing but you felt a lot better now that you told them.
  14. They all replied to your letters, except for Harry. It hurt you that he didn't reply after he said that he would and what was worse was that you didn't know why. They all told you not to worry about it and the months will pass fast; and they were right, soon enough you were on the plane to Italy. While at Italy you all stayed in a Hotel near to where Louisa was; you, your mother, the other Bridesmaids helped Louisa to design her wedding dress and the dresses for the bridesmaids for the house elves to create, had a bachelorette party and other things. You spoke to Draco often and tried to write to the others whenever possible, but Harry never replied. The wedding soon came and it was beautiful. Louisa was magnificent and the bridesmaids were just as gorgeous, the men didn't look too mad themselves either. At the end of the wedding the new couple went into a golden carriage drawn by 6 unicorns.
