Have you ever wondered which god would be your parent if you were a demigod? You may have taken quizzes before about the topic, but been disappointed by the low quality and surface-level questions. But this quiz is different.

This quiz will tell you with a decent level of accuracy who your godly parent is, and explain it to you with a fairly detailed result. I spent a long time on this, so I'd love it if you could rate or comment!

Welcome, traveler. You've recently learned that you are a demigod, and you've come to an Ancient Greek temple, where your godly parent will reveal themself to you, but you will be faced with many challenges along the way.
- I'm so ready!!
- I know that the challenges will test me, but I have faith in myself.
- I'm a little nervous...
You enter the first chamber of the temple. The interior is beautiful, smooth white marble, and in the center, a table awaits you. You may take one weapon on your journey. Which do you choose?
- A gleaming longsword that flickers like lightning in the candlelight.
- A finely cut bronze trident with wickedly sharp points.
- A simple yet beautifully crafted scimitar with a polished obsidian hilt.
- A shining silver spear that fits perfectly in your grip.
- A broad shield with ornate carvings across its face.
- A stunning golden bow and quiver of gilded arrows.
- A tall, aureate staff, the perfect weight to wield easily and inflict maximum damage.
- Weapons? No thanks. I'll take a satchel of beautiful gemstones, which I can throw to distract any creature I encounter.
The tall double doors to the next chamber loom before you, inviting you to open them. What do you do?
- Swing them open immediately. Whatever tries to stop me had better run.
- Ready your weapon and crack them open, surveying your next obstacle.
- Take a moment to admire the detailed artwork carved into the doors before proceeding.
A chimera stands before you, roaring and baring its vicious teeth. How do you defeat it?
- I intimidate it into running from me.
- I immediately attack, charging before it has time to think.
- I recall everything I've learned chimeras, and defeat it with its weaknesses.
- I try to tame it and soothe it.
Your strategy worked, and the chimera no longer poses a threat. You notice a puppy cowering in the corner, finally emerging from the shadows now that the chimera is gone. It needs help, but it will slow you down. What do you do?
- It needs my help, and I can't refuse that. I take it with me.
- I calm it down and pet it, then find something to give it from my bag. Then I go on without it; I can get it on the way back.
- I want to help, but I'm busy. I'll make sure it gets taken care of later.
- I honestly do not care.
There are an assortment of rooms that you can enter next, but each holds a terrible danger. Which do you decide to face?
- A terrible thunderstorm on a vast, tempestuous ocean that you must cross in a small boat.
- A room that is completely, utterly dark and seems to suck in light. There's no way of knowing what horrors await inside.
- A chaotic war zone with bullets flying in all directions and bodies lining the soil.
- A wildfire burning with the heat of the sun, threatening to engulf you.
- A deceptively beautiful jungle teeming with deadly, venomous animals and plants.
- A twisty labyrinth with clever, fatal traps around every corner where one wrong turn could mean certain doom.
You bravely face your chosen obstacle, and you manage to survive, but there's no time to rest. The next room holds a mirror that shows you the worst version of yourself, reminding you of all your flaws. What do you see?
- Someone angry and proud.
- Someone cruel, aloof and hateful.
- Someone deceptive and overconfident.
- Someone jealous and vain.
- Someone unfeeling and cold.
- Someone neurotic and temperamental.
- Someone arrogant and impulsive.
- Someone uncaring and self-absorbed.
You stare into that image and refuse to let it discourage you, remembering that you are not defined by your worst qualities. You reach out with your weapon and smash the glass, shards flying everywhere. There's another mirror beneath, and this one shows you your best self. What do you see now?
- A powerful and confident leader.
- A cunning and smart strategist.
- A warm and level-headed peacemaker.
- A strong yet caring fighter.
- A protective and nurturing helper.
- A resourceful and witty jokester.
- A charismatic and cheerful performer.
You leave the mirrors behind and forge ahead, delving deeper into the temple by walking through a long hallway that doesn't seem to end, no matter how far you go. How do you react?
- I'm unfazed. I've already survived worse on this journey, and every obstacle has been unable to stop me.
- I'm thrilled. Finally, a real challenge, to test my endurance! I start running.
- I'm enraged. All of that work, just to walk down this stupid hallway?
- I'm confused. This doesn't match the rest of the obstacles, and I wonder about its purpose.
- I'm annoyed. All of the other obstacles were interesting, but this is really boring.
- I don't react. I just walk.
After hours of walking with no reassurance that you're on the right path, the hallway finally ends. You're in a grandiose chamber, with artwork carved into the walls and a babbling brook running through the marble ground. What's the first thing you do?
- Ready my weapon. I'll be best equipped to deal with whatever's next if I'm on my guard.
- Stay alert and cautious, but also devote some energy to studying my surroundings
- Wait. Whatever comes next will find me even if I don't look.
- Wade into the brook, relishing the feeling of the water against my skin.
- Gaze at my reflection in the water, noticing the sweat on my brow and messy hair with distaste.
- Hide. I'll have the upper hand against any enemy that appears if I have the element of surprise.
An acolyte of the temple appears, and whatever you were doing, you stop and walk over to them. They tell you that your godly parent has watched your journey and is very impressed, and that they await you in the next room. What do you tell the acolyte?
- Nothing. They're just an acolyte; there's no need for me to be polite.
- I thank them quickly, eager to learn who my godly parent is.
- I thank them and have a brief conversation, where I share some of my favorite jokes.
- I don't speak, but I communicate my thanks with a look.
The acolyte leads you into the room, but before your godly parent reveals their identity, they'd like to offer you a gift: an enchanted amulet. You get to choose the pendant, so what do you select?
- The golden sun that is warm to the touch and glows, flickering light firelight
- The lightning bolt that seems to crackle with electricity
- The mesmerizing glass sphere filled with water, refracting the light of the room.
- A beautiful flower bud that blooms when you touch it.
- The silver owl with dark eyes that seem to be watching you.
- The smooth skull, as small as your fingertip but carved out of the real bones of a god.
- The golden helmet that radiates strength and ferocity.
- The ornate wing, made with tiny, gilded feathers.
Before your godly parent reveals themself, they'd like to learn a bit about you, so they'll ask you some questions. How do you feel about this?
- Neutral. I don't really care, as long as I'll meet them soon.
- Argh! I want to meet them already!
Their first question: are you more level-headed or unstable?
- I'm extremely calm and level-headed.
- I'm pretty calm, but not impossible to disturb.
- I'm excitable and energetic, but not unstable, per se.
- Honestly, I'm pretty emotionally unstable. My moods are all over the place.
Their second question: what do you rely on most when making decisions?
- My head
- My heart
- My gut
Their third and final question: who do you hope that they are?
- I have a specific god in mind, and I'll be upset if it's a different one.
- I think I'm like a specific god, but I'd be open to a different perspective.
- I'm fine with any of them, honestly.
