Which party would you vote for in the 1838 Baiyonan Election

In 1837, the Republic of Baiyona was founded. A provisional government led by President Silvaboa was placed in charge. They drafted a constitution that many criticised for not being liberal enough and his leadership was criticised by many.

On top of this, many are dissatisfied with the way this country is being led as the country faces foreign threats, bandits, poverty and many other crises which need being solved fast.

First, what is your opinion on Manuel Silvaboa?
- He is the founder of our Republic and he should be respected for it.
- He has been unable to expell the bandits ravaging the countryside, reform our judicial system, build up our military and provide for the weakest in society. He must go.
- He is a respectable figure but I am dissapointed in how conservative his Constitution was, and his decision to not expand welfare was a mistake.
- He is nothing but an out-of touch elitist, who is ignoring our real problems while he builds a system carefully designed to keep him in power.
What's your stance on territorial organisation?
- Full Centralisation.
- Limited Centralisation.
- Limited Decentralisation.
- Full Decentralisation.
- Abolish provinces and have a communal system instead.
What about the constitution?
- Silvaboa crafted it in order to give himself as much power as possible, we need to tarnish his constituion and install a moderate one.
- We should keep emergency powers, just in case, and make sure to fix any possible loopholes around our Carta Magna.
- It is a liberal and progressive piece of legislation that will bring great times to our nation.
As for the economy...
- ...it should be unregulated
- ...it should be somewhat regulated
- ...it should be regulated
- ...it should be regulated and the government needs to provide for the people.
Your stance on labour rights?
- The government needs to protect them
- The government should not interfiere as that would increase employee costs.
Now, its time for a hot button issue: Law and Order!
- The government is doing everything it can right now, and I support them. We should keep using a militia force and keep the army out of the fight against the Bandits.
- We need to send in the army to crush the bandits and install a civil code ASAP.
- We should implament the Gaelician Civil Code and send the army to crush the bandits, while reforming the militia into a police force.
What is your position on the military?
- Our military is underfunded, we need to boost it to protect our borders!
- We need to pave the way towards a professional armed forces.
- Let's just give them some funding and move on.
On to foreign policy. What is your stance on the Slythoria-Intarania War?
- Let's stay out of this, we wouldn't want our business ventures in Intarania to go up in flames by interviening, right?
- Supporting Slythoria, of course, they are our hispanic brothers and Intarania doesn't have the capabilities to destroy us.
- Neutrality, but maybe it's time to support Slythoria diplomatically.
- Intarania may be a dictatorship, but maybe its time to quit our isolation and reach out to them too?
What do you think you are, ideologically?
- A nationalist, and a moderate conservative.
- A classical liberal, free markets and free people,
- I think of myself as a progressive, but I think individual people should be the focus, the Gaelcians, the Workers, the Farmers, ect.
- A staunch progressive and an idealist.
Finnally, the Presidential Candidates.
- Silvaboa is too old to lead, unlike González, which is the proggressive candidate we need.
- Rodríguez is a man who fights for the national identity of Baiyona and who is more moderate than the National Front at large.
- Nestor Rego has the charm and power to represent the Gaelician people,
- Silvaboa, even if flawed, is still a man who can bring change to this nation. Four more years!
