  1. My my is Kaitie. I'm 11. And this is my Sad Story.
  2. *May 29,2010* Today's my birthday. My mom's side of the family lives in Georgia so we're going there to celebrate my birthday. When we were waiting in the van, my grandparents came to give me my present. I heard my Grandpa say to my mom that he was sorry for her loss. I thought,'Did one of my mom's aunts die?'. I asked my parents when they got back in the car. They just said don't worry about it and handed me the present my grandparents gave me.
  3. Inside was a little fluffy yellow teddy bear. It said happy birthday on it and was holding a little cake. It was so cute. I held it the entire trip.
  4. When we got inside the house, I didn't see my Grandpa anywhere. I asked my Grandma where Grandpa was and she just frowned and gave me a hug. Later on I found out he had died. I thought,'Why? Why?! Why couldn't I see him one last time?!' I cried for an hour.
  5. Two days later was his funeral. When I looked at him from the second row his face was expressionless. Then I walked up to him, he looked like he was smiling. I placed the plane a made him down and walked sadly away.
  6. On the way out I took one of those papers. When I read the date of his death I froze. It read,"Death Date:May 28,2010 7:30 am.". Exactly one day before my birthday.
  7. Why couldn't he have died after my birthday?! Or not die at all?! It just wasn't fair. Now I'm looking back to that day. I remember every single thing that happened. That day was implanted in my memory forever.
  8. This story really happened to me. It really really did. :(((((
  9. I just needed someone to tell this to. It feels good letting it all out.
