have you ever wondered if you would make a good event planner? it sounds like such a glamourous job. spend a few days/month in the life of an event planner to see if the job suits you.

you have just woken up and lean over to check the time what time is it?
- its 3:45 am
- its 9:00 am
- its 2:00 pm! oops
- 7:00 am
ok time for your morning routine what do you do first?
- grab a coffee and my bag and head out the door for my first meeting
- hit the snooze alarm. just ten more minutes
- have a quick but healthy breakfast, freshen up quickly. walk to work.
- wake up. excersize. have a smoothie bowl, bannanas on toast ect. skin care routine. hair brushed. clean room. go to work
ok, you are now at work. the first clients come in. it's a young couple newly engaged who are getting married. they ask for a price.
- you tell them its free. you know how hard it can be to be newly engaged
- £25 per hour. you dont make exceptions.
- £15 per hour. you will give them a discount
- £50 per hour. there young take advantage
they have decided to hire you. the first thing you decide on is
- the venue. you decide to see there preferences on where they want it to be. then take the theme from there
- the theme. then its easier to specify a venue.
- the food then you can find a theme.
- a budget. then you decide on the other stuff and see what they can afford.
- the table decorations.
you have decided on a budget and looked at some venues. they have decided on an old barn. they would like to turn it into a lovely venue. they want it to be modern with a hint of vintage and rustic. what should the colour scheme be
- white. we can hang fairy lights from the walls and white tapestries. you could use hay bales as seats for the after party. maybe even add a rope swing from the hay loft. ooh and some horses outside or in stable doors.
- brown and red. its a barn obviously. we should keep the barn looking old for the rustic look. and change as little as possible.
- paint the whole barn yellow and purple. we can have some tables and chairs that are green. make it all multicoloured
ok, so they have decided on the colour scheme. it's now time for the menu. they want a modern food but also classic and old like sloppy joes. first up is starters. what do you put down
- salad. its light and elegant.
- a salad with pulled beef on top. have some of that cheese sauce on the side. and buns in a white basket on the table they can turn them into sloppy joes if they want
- they dont need starters.
ok, so you have decided on the whole menu and appetisers for after and before dinner. they loved your menu. but a problem has occurred! apparently the barn has been burned in a fire. what do you do
- start freaking out. what will we do!
- keep calm in front of the clients. you start to look and phone for other barns in the area. you will find one eventually
- just book something different. a hall or something.
- postpone the wedding.
ok, you have found another barn just up the road from that one. the clients actually prefer it. it's bigger so you will need to order more supplies than anticipated but you can work with that. next thing you want to do is book music. who do you contact? the clients say they want someone well known. who have pop songs and hops but also slow and romantic ones. they are willing to pay anything.

- a band from town. they do covers of all songs. they would be willing to play anything.
the clients are happy with the band you booked. the decorations have arrived and it is currently 3 days till the wedding. the bride comes to your office crying. she says all her bridesmaid dresses have arrived and they are kids sizes. what do you do?
- tell her not to panic. you sit her down give her some tea and look up new dresses. they will arrive in time.
- you tell her she will have to make do with what shes got. turn the dresses into t shirts and wear jeans.
- its not your problem. tell her you dont know what to do.
the dress situation is sorted the wedding is tomorrow and everything has gone to plan. how long did it take you to plan altogether.
