  1. I couldn't beleive it. I was going to be adopted! No! This can't be happening! My parents were alive!
  2. In what seemed to be a minute I was sitting in my new parents car driving home. I was sitting silently trying to calm down. The windows were tinted so everything looked dark. even with my---weird abilities.
  3. "Do you like the windows? I thought you might." The lady, now my mother looked at me waiting for an answer. I just shrugged my shoulders. It was actully driving me nuts. "It must seem weird." she said. "Seeing the dark as we do." I looked at her puzzled. "Oh yes Lirissa we know everthing about you." "What did you just call me?" I asked. She smiled at me. "Don't play games Liri we know all about you remember? And you are going to tell us more."
  4. I sat in stunned silence as we contiued on. In 10 minutes we arrived at thier house. "Go unpack and we will have a nice talk." My new Dad said. I did as they told me. And followed them to my new room. In my opinion it was more like a jail cell.
  5. After I was done I went down stairs. The house was in a sense large. But more of a medium sized house. The biggest room was the living room, the room we were in now. I sat down, waiting. My new "mother" broke the silence first. "So." she said. "Where are your parents?" "You are my new parents." I said "You adopted me." She laughed. "oh don't beat around the bush. We already said we know all about your parents and you." She smiled a crooked smile that reminded me of bad guys in movies right when they are about to do something drastic.
  6. "We are the reason you are no longer with you parents. We chased them away." I stared at them. "You see you are bait. and also the beginning."
  7. I only stared at her. A plan to escape was already planning in my head. Before I could answer my new "Father" "interupped." "It will be useless to try to do anything. I my not be able to see in the dark but I have excellant hearing. And the windows have alarms on them. You open them and they will wake up everybody." he was dead serious. This was horrible.
  8. *One week later* I hate my life. Only one week has passed and everything has gone down the drain. I have tried to run away once but I almost died. They make me wash dishes, sweep the floors, replace dead lightbulbs, do my "mother's" hair, give my "dad" haircuts, and in all a Cinderella.
  9. Though tonight I am going to try something else. I am going to take 2 ice cubs up to my room and mold them over the alarm system. I want to see if they disble them. I was making meatloaf when my "mom" came in. "Liri? Please. Come. Here." She said. What have I done know? I followed her into the living room where "dad" was sitting. He smiled at me. "Lirissa please sit down. And meet your new sister, Annaley. Anna this is your new sister Liri." A girl no older than me. was sitting down across form them. She had short black hair and teal eyes? " You take her to her room. Please." "Mother" told me. "Where is her room?" I asked. Please don't yell at me. Please don't yell at me. "Yours of course." "Dad" told me. I nodded. I nodded to her and she picked up her carpet bag and followed me up the stairs.
