You are a big blustering bloody great bloke who loves Britain, the Turf and totty. You are not going to let these lily-livered Radicals risk parliamentary reform and other such nonsense, even though you are nominally a Liberal. You are prepared to throw some sops towards domestic social reform to keep revolution at bay, and you half-heartedly support free trade (ish), but your heart is in foreign policy. You are a patriot who wants to make Britain strong, uphold the balance of power, and protect the empire, and you are not afraid to send a few gunboats to ensure that it happens. You believe in ensuring that any British citizen can call upon the might of the mother country if ever crossed by a bunch of dodgy looking foreigners. If you had been in charge maybe the Crimean War would not have been such a shambles. You are not well-liked in China. Examples: Lord Palmerston. That is enough for anyone, surely?
