This quiz is a quick political spectrum quiz. It is not all-inclusive. If you are interested in learning more there are a lot of quizzes available on the web.

You should answer each question with the statement you agree with the most. Don't spend a lot of time on each question. This should reflect your first thoughts.

When it comes to international action the United States
- should always act in it's own best interest regardless of what its allies believe.
- should do this only when national security or safety are at risk.
- should only act in this way in emergency situations, and only as a last resort
- should only act through international organization such as the United Nations
Refugee's from areas of the world that harbor terrorist should be
- Banned from entering the U.S.
- Should only be allowed in to the country after extensive checks to insure they are not a threat.
- Should be allowed in however there should be some reasonable action to both protect their rights and the safety of the United States
- They are no more of a threat than anyone else and should be welcomed and helped because of their bad situation.
The U.S. southern border
- Build a physical Barrier to keep illegals out.
- Border security is important, however we need reasonable immigration reform, however we must secure the border.
- The border is more of a humanitarian problem, if we would help make these peoples life better they would come to the U.S.
- The southern border is not really an issue.
Abortion
- is murder and should be banned.
- is murder, however it should be allowed under certain conditions i.e. the health of the mother, rape or incest.
- should not be the primary form of birth control, but it should be the choice of the mother.
- it is no ones business except for the mother and should be funded by public funds.
College
- Is each individuals responsibility let the free market do it's job
- There should be programs to give more people access to college but it shouldn't be free
- The government must do something to make college more affordable including debt forgiveness.
- College is a fundamental right and should be free.
Regulation of business.
- The government should not regulate business at all
- The government should regulate but it has too many regulations right now and should loosen up.
- The government needs to do more regulation. You can't trust business.
- Government regulation is the only way to make sure business doesn't exploit consumers.
Health care
- Should be left up to the free market.
- The current system needs to be twerked but the government would just mess it up.
- The government needs to make sure everyone can get healthcare, but we need to protect choice.
- Healthcare is a fundamental right and needs to be provided by the government.
Public education.
- Must be left up to the state. Parents should be given school choice.
- There should be minimal federal interference.
- The federal government should provide financial support and make sure that everyone receives a quality education.
- The federal government needs to be in charge and making the policy decisions.
Increasing taxes on the wealthy.
- It's their money. Taxes is a punishment for doing good things.
- We must work to lower taxes on all classes.
- A moderate tax on the wealthy would be merited.
- We should tax the wealthy at a much higher rate.
Welfare
- does more harm than good, we can take care of those who really need assistance through charity or at the state level.
- Welfare is necessary but we should make sure if someone is able bodied that they work.
- Welfare helps so many people and the few people who cheat are worth the cost because of the help we give so many.
- Welfare needs to be expanded.
Gun control
- Gun's are a fundamental right. the government should do nothing to prohibit the private ownership of guns.
- Some types of guns should be controlled but law abiding citizens should have access to guns.
- There needs to be gun limitations, including background checks for all guns and limiting the types of guns and number of guns that can be sold.
- private citizens don't need guns.
Gay marriage
- Marriage should be between a man and a woman, this should be protected by law.
- Marriage is between a man and a woman, but civil unions should be allowed.
- Love is love its no ones business who marries who.
- There should be specific government legislation to prevent discrimination against the LGBTQ community including marriage
Gender issues
- The only gender that matters is the gender you are born with.
- Gender laws should be made by states and local government to meet local standards of morality.
- Gender identity is personal and everyone rights should be protected.
- There should be specific laws that ban discrimination against transgenders.
Military spending.
- The military is the most important institution in the United States. The only way to insure peace is to have the best military in the world.
- The military is important, we need to maintain it, but we need to make sure its missions are clearly defined, we spend to much money on the wrong things.
- The military is important but not more important than social programs. If we have to cut spending the military should be the first thing we cut.
- We spend way to much money on the military. In fact our military should be small and only a defensive force.
We are citizens of the world first. U.S. interest must be secondary to global interest.

Climate Change
- Is caused by man and is the biggest threat facing the world today, and must be the number one priority even if the steps required to mitigate it would hurt the U.S. economy.
- Is a contributed to by man and is major problem but steps to mitigate it must be incremental and economic factors should play a role in decision making
- Is a problem but it's probably a natural phenomenon that people can't do much about.
- If it exist at all is nothing more than a temporary thing caused by the natural cycles of climate.
Poverty
- Is a systematic problem, there is so many barriers in place that most poor people can never hope to climb out of poverty.
- Poverty is caused by a combination of issues, but it's governments responsibility to provide assistance to everyone in need regardless of the reason.
- Government should only help people out of poverty are willing to help themselves. Anyone who won't try to help themselves should suffer the consequences.
- If a person is able bodied then poverty is there own fault. Government assistance should be reserved only for those who are mentally or physically handicapped.
