This book does not take place in the 1930's, it takes place during the 1920's because is was during the great depression. and the great depression happened in the 1920's. We read the book, saw the movie in English class, in my school, and my teacher went over it, she said 1920's. you have to fix that incorrect answer.

The last time I read this book was 4 years ago and I still got 94%. I guess I must have payed attention. It was a really great book.
