  1. You and your best friend (your next-door neighbor) are outside on a nice summer day. All of a sudden, an owl swoops down. It lands right in front of you, and you scream. You hide behind a bush. Your parents and your friend's parents come outside at the sound of the yell. Your parents see the owl and gasp. Your mother puts her hand over her mouth. You say "what? What's wrong?" Your mother says "remember that school we told you about? In London? The one you really wanted to go to?" You smile and say "yes I do!" She grabs the letter from the owl and has a huge smile on her face. She says "this is your letter of acceptance." What is your reaction?
  2. You squeal with excitement and your friend says "what about us? We had this year all planned out!" you sigh and say "Annie, you know how much I want to go here! I'll take my phone with me, and we can talk all day! And we can write. I promise!" She sighs and says "alright. But I'll miss you!" You smile huge and squeal and hug her. Your parents say "You need to start packing, you leave in a week! Your father and I will take you for your books after you start packing." You squeal and hug your friend one more time. She waves and says "You're saying goodbye before you leave right?" You say "why wouldn't I?!" You run upstairs and grab your suitcase. Your parents come in and say "we need to take you for your school things first. You'll need school robes." You get dressed and ready to go to Diagon Alley. What are your thoughts? (In case it wasn't obvious, your friend's name is Annie)
  3. Your parents take you top a place called Diagon Alley for your school supplies. You say "can't we just go to the department store or something like we usually do?" Your father says "you can't get the things you need for this school at a department store." Your mother nods in agreement, and first you get your school robes. Then you go and buy all of your books (but before both of those, you went to the bank, where you saw a boy with round glasses and brown hair getting money too, and he looked like he was your age.) Then, your parents said "we are so proud of you, we're going to let you pick a gift. You can get anything you want, and it does not have to be magic." You turn and see a shop with brooms in the window. You say "is this the cleaning store?" Your father bursts out laughing. He says "Those are not ordinary brooms, they're magic! They fly! People use them to play Quidditch." You see someone buying one in the store, and you say "can I get one?" Your parents agree, as they promised you a gift, and then you leave. What are you thinking?
  4. As you're exiting Diagon Alley, you see a boy with bleach blond hair joking around with two kids. You assume he's trouble. As you walk past him, he puts out his foot and trips you. You fall and scream "AHH!" Your parents rush over and they boy laughs. Your father goes up to him and says "do that again, and you won't see the next day." A woman rushes up to the boy and takes him away. You see a man who resembles the boy staring at you and your parents. They look at each other. When you're in the car, your parents ask you how you're feeling. You tell them you're fine, and then your father says "That boy who tripped you, I know his father. Do not mess with him, he will use his father to ruin your life. His name is Draco Malfoy. If you need help finding friends, I know a man from the Ministry with a son in you're year. Maybe you can talk to him He also has other siblings you can talk to. They all have read hair. They are the Weasleys." Your thoughts are...
  5. It is the day you leave for Hogwarts! You go to say goodbye to Annie, and it is tearful. You promise again that you will talk every day. She asks to come to the station with you, but your parents say she shouldn't. When you are in the car going to King's Cross Station you ask your parents "Why couldn't Annie come for the ride?" They look at each other and your mother says "She isn't like the 3 of us. She is not magic. She wouldn't be able to get to platform 9 3/4." You say "am I still allowed to talk to her?" Your father smiles and says "no only are we allowed, we encourage it. You can see her at Christmas." You smile and look at your packed suitcase. You arrive at the train station. Your parents tell you how to get to platform 9 3/4, and you run through the wall. You see a great big red train. You hug your parents and board the train. Your mother yells "send us a letter as soon as possible! We want to know everything!" You agree and head into the train. You look for a while, but everywere is full. You look into one and it has that evil blond boy, Draco Malfoy. He eyes you with an evil look, and you quickly walk away. A few minutes later, you find one with only 2 people in it. You knock on the door and say "can I sit with you?" They both agree and you sit. One of them has brown hair and glasses. You remember seeing him at the bank. The other one has red hair. They introduce themselves. The boy with the glasses says "I'm Harry Potter, first year." The other boy says "I'm Ron Weasley, also a first year." You smile and say "my father told me about you. Hi, I'm _________." He turns a little red and says "your father told you about me?" You reply "yeah, he knows your father from the, what's it called..." Ron says "the ministry?" You instantly say "yea the Ministry." You look at Harry and see a mark on his fore head. You ask him "are you alright? You have a cut on your forehead." He says "It's always been there, it's a scar. I got it as a baby." It was in the shape of a lightning bolt. You ask him "what happened?" Ron looks at you with his eyes wide. You say "what?" Is it obvious or something?" Ron says "you've NEVER heard of Harry Potter? The boy who lived? Defeater of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?" You look at him with a puzzled look. "He who must not be named?" You look at Harry, and he shrugs. Then, a girl enters the compartment. Thoughts so far?"
  6. The girl says "Have you seen a toad? A boy named Neville lost one." She looks at Harry and says "I know you! You're Harry Potter!" Does everyone know him?! She looks at you and Ron and says "and you both are?" Ron says "I'm Ron Weasley." You say "I'm ________." She nods and returns to looking for the tod. You all say you haven't seen it. You say "if I see it I'll come find you." She nods, smiles a little, then leaves." You liked her already. About 20 minutes later, you went to change into your robes. You come back, and Harry and Ron go. Then, the little snot Draco comes up He says "watch your back." You instantly fear him, and as you see Harry and Ron coming back to the compartment they stare at him, and they obviously don't like him either. You pull up to the school. Your thoughts are...
  7. You see this really old hat, and it is placed on your head. It says "ah, this is difficult. You are very wise, and you can be courageous when you want to be. Your parents are both pure bloods. Hmm, which one of these outshines the rest?" You were sorted right after Harry. It says "I think you belong in..." It hesitates. "GRYFFINDOR!"
  8. You go to join the Gryffindors. They are all smiling and clapping. You sit down next to the girl from the train (you found out her name is Hermoine) and Ron introduces you to his brothers. He points to two guys who look identical and says "that's Fred and George. Watch out for them." You ask "which one is which?" At the same time they both say "you'll need to figure that out yourself." You sigh and Ron points to another guy. He says "That's my brother Percy." You nod, and mainly talk to Hermoine, because she's the only girl you know. Soon, a boy comes up and sits next to you. He looks at you and says "h-hello. I'm N-Neville." You smile and say "hi Neville, I'm ____________." He looks more relaxed suddenly. He says "I honestly thought you'd be hard to talk to." You said "what?" He sais "sorry, I'm just really shy and I find a lot of people hard to talk to." You laugh and say "well if you ever want someone to talk to, I'm here." He smiles and begins talking to Harry and Ron. Your thoughts are...
  9. After the feast, you go up to your common room. You sit down and write to your parents, just like you promised. You tell them about your new friends, and getting Gryffindor. You put the pen down, and your phone starts ringing. You answer it and say "hello?" Annie called. She says "hey! How was it? Do you like it there?" You say "It's actually pretty amazing. I wish you could be here!" She says "me too." She asks about friends, and you tell her about everyone you've met. You decide to leave out anything about magic. You add it in on your letter to your parents, asking if you can tell her. You yawn and say "I should go, I have class tomorrow." She says "fine, but call me after class!" You agree and and the call. You go up to the owlry to send your letter, and then you go back to your dormitory. You're sharing a room with Hermoine. She is wide awake reading. She looks at you and says "isn't this place just amazing?! It is so awesome!" You reply...
  10. You and Hermoine decide to stay up and get to know each other. She asks you about your life. You say "well, my mother is a stay-at-home woman, and my dad works for... The government." You stop and think. You ask her "What's the Ministry?" She says "The Ministry of Magic? It's basically the government for wizards and witches." You say "that's why he never showed me where he works." Hermoine says "what?" You say "nevermind. I think my dad works for the Ministry of Magic, and I grew up right outside of London." She nods and tells you about herself. Her parents are dentists. You nod and look at the clock. You say "oh god, it's almost midnight! We should get to sleep, we have class in the morning." She agrees and you both lie down. After a few minutes she whispers "_________?" You reply "yes?" She says "I think we're going to be great friends." You smile and whisper "I think so too." You slowly fall asleep. What do you think of your first unofficial day?
  11. You get your schedule. You have the same classes as Hermoine, Harry, Ron, and Neville. You have Charms first. Professor Flitwick says "today, we will be learning to make objects fly. The spell is Wingardium Levoisa." You watch as Hermoine shows Ron. You look at the feather you have to levitate, and Hermoine says "it's simple, _______. Just say it and concentrate." You follow her directions, and the feather floats upward. You smile as you push your feather into Hermoine's. You then realise that the Slytherins are in your class. You hear Draco yell "we get it! Stop showing off!" You turn around, keeping the feather in the air, which even amazes the teacher. You say to him "I'm good." And you turn back around. You hit your feather against Hermoine's again, then you bring it down to land in your hand. The professor is clapping. He says "well done Ms. ______! And miss Granger." You and Hermoine smile as class ends." Hermoine says "that was amazing, how yu kept the feather up with your back turned." You replied "I just kept concentrated, turned slowly, and made sure the wand was pointing at it." She smiles and says "you have to teach me." Harry says "I may need some help too." You smile, and you enter your next class, Defense Against the Dark Arts.
  12. In class, nothing happens. You go to your next class. Potions. Your teacher is Professor Snape. He looks at you and your friends in disgust. Ron says "I still can't believe what you did with that feather." Professor Snape says "a first year cannot do anything amazing. Weasley, 10 points from Gryffindor for talking." Ron says "I was just-" Snape interrupted "if it's so amazing, why dosen't she show us?" He had an evil gron. You got up as Hermoine whispered "you got this. Snape said "Granger. Go on, Ms.________." You find something to levitate, which ends up being an empty bottle. You put it on the table and say "Wingardium Leviosa." The bottle floats into the air. You concentrate very hard, and turn around, making sure to keep the wand directly pointing at it. You move the wand so the bottle comes to the direction you're facing. You turn again and bring the vile back to where it was. Snape says "well, that was good. But you're not the only one who can do that." He pointed at the bottle with his wand, and it lifted. He turned, and put the bottle back where it was. You say "I'm probably the only first year you've seen do that." Draco stands up and says "hey I'm just as good as you!" He points to a book on his desk and says the spell, it lifts into the air, but drops on his head when he's turning. You cover your mouth to stop from a fit of laughter. Snape has a look in his eye that makes it obvious he hates you. Since he is head of Slytherin, you don't care. As class ends, you smile. Your friends gather around you as you recount the mement, heading toward Herbology.
  13. Neville is fascinated with Herbology. Once the teacher is talking, he is all ears. Once class ends Sprout calls out "Ms._______? Mr.Longbottom?" You and Neville stop. What did you do?" You and Naville nervously walk over to Professor Sprout. She says "don't worry, you're not in trouble. I saw Neville listening intently, and I heard from Professor Flitwick you have a gift with levitation." You smile as she continues. She says "I need some help in one of the greenhouses, and what I need help with should not be touched. Would either of you like to help?" Neville instantly says "yes!" You say "sure! when do we start?" She says "tomorrow after last period." You and Neville nod and exit, only to trip. You thought it was just a rock, but you ear laughing and don't see a rock. Neville helps you up. He turns over his shoulder and yells "Leave her alone!" You turn to see Draco Malfoy and his friends laughing. You get up and say "that seem funny to you?" Draco looks at you and says "what are you going to do about it? You only know one spell!" You smile and grab your wand. You twirl it in your fingers. You look at it and say "you're right, I only know one spell, but it can be good right now." He says "ha! How?" You say "like this! WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA!" Draco lifts into the air as you lift your wand. Neville says "remember the spell we learned in Defense Against the Dark Arts?" You smile and say "oh yeah, thanks Neville!" You bring Draco down and point your wand at him again. You say "Petrificus Totalus". Instantly, he is stiff as a board and can't move. You lift hijm up angain, and see a tree. He says "no no no no!" You put him in a branch as you and Neville laugh." Hermoine comes running out and sees you. She says "_________, what took you so long? You're late for lunch!" She say you laughing and questioned you. You pointed to Draco. She laughed and said "what did he do?" Neville said "he tripped her." She laughed again and said "as funny as this is, you can get in trouble." You think and yell up "DRACO! Do you want this to happen again?" He yells "NO NO NO NO NO! I'LL DO ANYTHING JUST LET ME DOWN!" You say "don't bother us again, and never breath a WORD of this to anyone!" He grunts and says "fine." You bring him down, and take away the stiff spell. You, Hermoine, and Neville all walk into the great hall for lunch, as you hear Draco yelling in the background. Your thoughts?
  14. You and Hermoine go and eat, then run up to History of Magic, and you're early. You ask her a question. You ask her "what is Quidditch?" A voice from around a corner says "I can answer that better than anyone." A guy walks out. He is from Gryffindor. He says "I'm Oliver, captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Quidditch is complicated, it can't be explained quickly." You nod, and you agree to meet in the common room later and he'll tell you. Heermoine asks why you wanted to know, and you tell her your dad used to play. She nods, and after class you go to your common room. Thoughts?
  15. After class, you and Hermoine go to the common room. You pull out everything to do your homework together, when Oliver appears. He says "hello!" You quickly look up from your book, say "hey" and look back down. He says "you still interested in Quidditch?" You snap the book shut and look up. He laughs and explains it. Then, he mentions hearing about your Wingardium Leviosa trick and asks for a demonstration. You show him and he can't ebven do it! His words were "That's amazing! I can't even do that, and I'm a 5th year!" You laugh and he asks if you need help with your homework. You say no and he goes to do his. You and Hermoine work together and finish an hour later. You write to your parents, and as soon as you finish you see an owl on the table. You take the letter and it flys away. It's from your parents...
  16. You read the letter. It says 'Dear __________, we are so happy you like it there! We're so glad you made so many friends. We could not be prouder of you. Today was your first day, and we want to hear all about it. Write back soon! Love, mom and dad.' You put the letter down and go to he owlry to mail it. On your way back, you trip down a flight of stairs, right after it positioned there! If you fell a second earlier, you'd be dead. When you fell, you blacked out.
  17. You wake up in the Hospital Wing, and Neville is watching over you. He smiles and says "you're awake!" You nod and he says "you missed a day, and our thing with Professor Sprout." You frown and say "no!" He says "don't worry, there's a lot more to do. Also, this came for you." He handed you a letter. "Also, your phone was going off like crazy." You frown bigger, and Neville says "they said once you're awake, once they check you, you can leave. Want me to get a nurse?" You nod and he goes. He comes back a minute later with Madam Pomfrey. You're good to go. Once you enter the common room, Fred, George, Harry, Ron, and Hermoine all run up to you. Hermoine hugs you and says "NEVER do that again! You're never going anywhere alone anymore!" You laugh and sit in a seat. You have a question you can't help but ask. "Was it Malfoy?" They shake their heads. You open the letter from your parents. Crap, they heard about the fall. Your phone rings again, it's Annie. You say "do you guys mind?" They shake their heads and go silent. You answer "hello?" You hear a yelling "_______ _______! WHY HAVE YOU NOT BEEN ANSWERING MY CALLS?!" You say "I fell and blacked out." She says "OMG are you alright?!" You tell her you're fine. You tell her that Neville helped you get out, and he brought you back to the dorms. She asks "who's Neville?" You tell her that you told her yesterday, then explain again. She has to go, and you end the call. Hermoine says "you should rest. I'll bring you up to the dorms." You grab her arm, and she goes behind you on the stairs. Once you're next to your bed, you lie down. She asks "you tired?" You shake your head no. You ask "what's I miss today?" Hermoine smiles. She says "In Charms, Flitwick was ranting about you. A lot of people were still bad at the spell, and he said "why can't you all be more like Ms.________?! She's an artist at this! Then he ranted for like 10 minutes about how great you are, and Draco yelled 'How can that Mudblood be better than purebloods?!' Then I yelled out that (1) if he ever calls you that again I'll knock his lights out, and (2) both of your parents went to Hogwarts. He then sat down and didn't talk to anyone. All day. It was awesome." You smile. That was exactly what you needed to hear. Hermoine continued "you know Neville almost never left your side?" You look at her, and she could tell you obviously didn't know. She said "when you fell, he took you to the infirmary. He stayed there until closing, and he got up as soon as he could go back. And he waited until class started. He ate lunch quick and went to see you. He went right to you after classes were over." You smile, and ask "how much were you there?" She said "before class, after lunch, and I left to go do my homework right before you woke up." You smile, knowing that you have found true friends. What are your thoughts?
  18. After an hour you go down for dinner. You sit next to Neville. You ask him why he spent so much time visiting you. He says "You're my friend and I care about you, that's why." You smile and eat, and you see Draco is watching you. You raise your wand a little as a warning, and he looks away. You laugh a little and Hermoine asks what you find so funny. You say "I just found a way to stop the school bully." Hermoine smiles and says "he messed with Harry today." You smile and say "where's McGonogal? I need to know some Transfiguration spells." She laughs and says "that's too far for doing one thing to you." You say "he tripped me in Diagon Alley." She says "he has a thing for tripping you I guess. But still, it's a little far. If it gets worse then maybe." You agree and finish eating. She says "if you're interested, there are flying lessons tomorrow after class?" You nod and say "I'll be there." with a determined smile on your face.
