  1. I was at a loss for words. I knew something was up with not paying. I still had so many questions. "But..I..." I began to stutter. "Look _____," Ruari began, "Iknow this is really weird to you. Quite frankly, this is really weird to us, because vampires don't belong in High Illilin." "Then how do you know all this?" I asked. Not really frightened as much as upset.
  2. "We learned it in class," Cedric explained, "I'm still not sure why the old man would do that though. I mean, he's a vampire and everything, but usually they only make that deal if they feel like their victim is too strong to kill on the spot." "Excuuuuuuuuuse me?" Ruari laughed and said, "Oh no, he just means that vampires can't kill supernaturals by just attack. They have to make things easier by tricking them into consent." "But, I'm human," I said, still obviously confused. "Exactly," said Ruari, "If you weren't strong enough to defend yourself, why would he make that deal?" "Look, I'm not very good at filling in the gaps so, can you just tell me?" Cedric rolled his eyes and said,"_____, don't you get it? You're some form of supernatural!"
  3. A million things rushed through my head. How on earth could I be supernatural? It just didn't seem possible. Then again, vampires and shape-shifters didn't seem possible either. I guess I had been thinking for a bit, because Ruari was waving his hand in front of my face saying, "Earth to _____!". I shook myself out of it and said, "What kind of supernatural am I?" "Not sure," Cedric said, "I guess we'll find out." "How?" I asked. "Well, it's pretty simple. The first step is to determine your attractions, that has a lot to do with your kind. Secondly, we have to observe you. Third, you try out your skills to see what power you have. And last, but not least, you have to focus on your inner self and you'll automatically become your magic form." I know I'm an idiot, but "observing me" brought pink to my face.
  4. "Can't I just focus and become my magic form now?" I asked, somewhat impatient to see my magical self. I mean, if you were told you were a fairy, wouldn't you want to see yourself and use your powers? Yes, yes you would. "Well, _____, it's not that simple. In your old world, you may have had a few quirks which you just thought were hereditary. You couldn't have summoned you're powers without becoming self aware first. You're sort of self aware now, but not enough to transform. You need to actually be able to use your powers first." Ruari explained.
  5. "Back to the problem," I said, realizing some vampire wants my blood, "What are we going to do about Oldie?" I obviously meant the old man. "I guess we could reason with him, ask if there's anything else we could give him. But just in case he refuses, you should start training yourself." Cedric said.
  6. "Where would I train?" I asked. "Oh,there are trainers all over High Illilin. For kids whose powers have come in," said Ruari. "Good enough," I said. TIME FORWARD I didn't really enjoy the rest of the party. And I fell asleep on the ride home. But, woke up the next morning with a note on my dresser that said, "Dear _____, I got a trainer for you. Her name is Abelie Moon. Your first session is at 1:30! She'll come to pick you up. Love, Nair Ahh Nair, very useful and full of cheer, but slightly irritating.
  7. I took a shower and all that stuff, no need to explain everything. At 5:15 I headed downstairs.
  8. I saw a tall, thin, Italian woman with long black hair. She couldn't have been more than 30. "Hey, I'm Abelie," she began, "You're _____, right?" I nodded. "Great, we can get started immediately!" She teleported us into some training field. Around me was a gorgeous pond, some campfire, a garden, a giant tightrope net, and some sand.
  9. "Alright, for today's session I want to determine your powers," she said, pulling me towards the pond, "Move it." I looked at her incredulously. How could I move water??? "Move it," she urged. I shrugged and focused entirely on moving it. It didn't work so I closed my eyes. I stopped when I started drowning.
  10. CLIFFHANGER!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Okay, sorry, I just get a kick out of those! Anyway thanks for reading!
