I'll go first:
BATTALION WARS 1 & 2.
Super great games that I wish were more popular. I've only played the second one but still.
Imagine any box-standard shooter. Now make it Cartoony. NOW turn it into a strategy game.
I've yet to see any games remotely like Battalion wars. -
Also the units range from pretty normal to absolutely bats--- and I'm here for it
-
The ONLY bad thing I can say about BW2 (the only one i've played) is that
1. You can't use every unit in the game. Some units are unplayable, and at least two don't even have programming.
2. In the second game you can't play as the bad guys outside of online mode, and since Wii FC is dead, you have to do some funny stuff to play online. there's more to it than that, tho
and that's basically it. -
Sadly the company that made it (It's technically a nintendo property but that's kinda irrelevant) went under a few years back.
Also it's legally an advance wars game so that's fun -
This is an example of a battalion wars unit -

Castleđź‘Ź crashers đź‘Ź
-
oh i've heard of that one
(I originally heard of it from minecraft lol) -
Castle Crashers is NOT super niche, lmao. It was incredibly popular when it first came out. Just sorta died off over the years due to beat-em-ups falling out of favor and a lack of additional content.
Id say an incredibly niche yet amazing game is Capsule Monsters Coliseum -
Ohhh
I see
Capsule Monsters Coliseum?
That
That sounds like you just named a pokemon game but replaced "pocket" with "capsule" -
Dokapon Kingdom. I've never met anybody else who has heard of it, at least before they announced the switch remake. I'm hoping now that it's coming to switch it'll get a little more popular
-
I think I've heard of that (vaguely)
I think chuggaconroy played it?
