You didn't get anything else? I could have pictured you getting lots of stuff. I go a new KU hoody like I do every year from my pa and I saw the tag and it was pretty expensive, he also gave me a bunch of cool stuff in my stocking like the perfect knife sharpener, a new little multi tool thing, minutes for my phone cause I don't like ones with a contract, a decent bit of money. My mom gave me lots of candy and some money and she demanded that I ask for an actual gift so I just told her a hair straightener and she got me one lol.

That's weird that people say that about not asking for much. I never ask for anything, my parents have a certain amount of stuff they just know they're gonna buy so they go and ask me and I say idk anything most of the time or just say money lol I don't see it being normal that you have to ask for something in order to get it. lol that kinda sounds weird.

well when income tax comes i get like 100-300 dollars to spend in the mall and such. :)

Lol that's cool. My mom never gave me any money ever unless it was for some holiday like my b day or something. I've always known how to get her to give me what I want though cause I'm so clever at that kind of thing, like I'd have this friend I used to have call and leave a message on our answering machine asking if I wanted to go to the carnival so I'd act like the day before I was soooo bored and had nothing to do then when I had something I could do I'd have no money so my mom would once in awhile be nice and I'd end up just taking the money to go do other stuff and not the carnivals lame ass.
