Wait, hold up. I was watching Gravity Falls earlier, and it got me thnking. In the episode "Double Dipper" when they hold the party for "the youngsters of Gravity Falls", Grunkle Stan says that since Soos begged and works for free, he gets to be the dj. Then later on in the series, in "Carpet Diem", Waddles and Soos switch bodies. Waddles in Soos' body is confronted by Grunkle Stan, who says he has to cut Soos' pay. Then in "The Rise Of Gideon", since Soos does not have a job, he goes and gets multiple part-time jobs to pay for rent and such. Stating he was paid by Stan. So, was this a mistake, or was this simply for craps and giggles?

I feel like this was a mistake.
But I mean, Soos and grunkle Stan are the comedy of the show, so it could've been for humor. -
I THINK THAT grunkle stan started paying him at one point but theory oh theory

I think that Grunkle Stan could have started paying him at one point in between episodes
