Not just that, but they're big characters so it wouldn't be the same without them and it'd be obvious if they all left.

I suppose Mr Burns could die cuz he's like 105 and Ned could move towns and the Principal could retire or just leave. I feel like I'm a writer for them xD

I watched an episode on Sunday and it said Mr Burns was 81

CrazyScarecrow NewbieI voted Bart. I pretty much like them all the same though.
I heard they are just going to recast the characters. It still won't be the same though. So much of a person goes into a character when they play a role that it'll always leave a different feeling.
Honestly I think the show should just stop. I love the show though it isn't what it used to be and they have been losing so much of Springfield now with Harry Shearer (the voice of Burns, Flanders, Skinners, Smithers, etc.) and the still somewhat recent death of Marcia Wallace. -
Edna Krabappel, Maude Flanders and Bleeding Gums Murphy left the show :(.
