But I don't think I will be good enough
-
Well, there are lots of events. Do you like running? If so, are you better at long distance or sprints? Can you jump high? Do you have good upper strength? Can you jump far?
-
I love running, it makes me feel free and powerful
sprints, my lungs give out after awhile so I can't run for very long (which is in of the reasons why I don't think I will accelerate in this)
Depends,
no, my arms are like toothpicks
yeah, I can jump a decent distance -
You could do the 100 meter dash. And there are also relays, so you might get placed on a relay team.
Hurdles are fun.
Probably shouldn't try pole vault or shot-put or the disc throwing thing.
Long jump might be good for you.
I honestly suggest trying it out. -
I do too, I really think this could be good for me.
-
Track is really fun. And the coaches should let you try out the different events during practice if you want too.
The most fun I had in it was when I was on a relay team, and we did the distance medley. -
I think I will give it a go.
Cool, you like long distance runs then? -
Woo!!
Yeah, I was in cross country, and then tried track. And then I injured my shins and haven't been able to run as long and as fast as I use to for three years. I also did hurdles, the 800 meter run, and the 4x4 in track. I really enjoyed being on a relay team because when you're just doing events by yourself, it doesn't really feel like you're a part of the track team because you don't really have a group of people to hang out with in between your events. But when you're on a relay team, you practice with those people, and you become good friends with them. -
Oh, well that's awesome! And I am sorry you hurt you shins.
I will notify you if I get in. -
XD it's okay. At least I can walk without having pain now.
Tell me what events you're going to do too. -
Yeah, well it's still pretty cool. Well of they still hurt then we would probably have a problem.
okay, I will -
Yeah, but I never found out what the problem was. I went to the school physical therapist, the doctors, and then did physical therapy for two months, and they all said I had different things wrong with my shins.
-
Maybe it was just the way your shins formed,
-
That's what the doctor thought. She said it was osgoodslaughter or something like that, which is some sort of growing pain. But oh well, it's like 95% gone now.
-
Do you think you might ever participate in a form of running ever again? (Sorry if that doesn't flow nicely)
