We have gym in school but outside of school...
In the summer/spring. Maybe fall. For school:
1. walk half a mile home from the bus stop.
2. walk for half an hour to an hour around the block everyday.
3. I have ribbon dancing/ariel silks practice every friday night, tuesday, and saturday.
If you don't know what that is...it's this:
For camp in the summer:
1.My camp is on the University of Connecticut campus, so we walk an average of 3 or 4 miles each day, with 3 active physical classes in the morning. This means that i skip the walks at home, but i do them on nice sunny days.
I still do the ribbon dancing/Ariel silks every tuesday, friday, and saturday.
And I eat a healthy diet, I hardly ever eat fast food. And if the second ingredient in something is high fructose corn syrup, I won't eat it.
Is this good enough for a 14 year old girl who's 4'10 and 83-88 lb to stay healthy and fit? -
I used to play volleyball and tennis but I quit a few months ago. Too much schoolwork. I might start it up again in 8th grade nest year, but i think 3 days of ribbon dancing a week is enough.

oh AND i used to do ballet once a week ever since i was 6 but I quit a month ago. needed a break.

Sounds good to me :) As long as it's combined with a healthy eating plan.

dancing's awesome for fitness, but ideally you would get more physically activity then a little dancing and a little walking though.
And as far as food goes..the only thing that's really safe is vegies, and they're still in sad condition.
that being said, I'm sure your as healthy as can be expected of a 14 year old american girl : P
