It's 6:00 in the morning, in a quaint cobblestone street lined with small bookshops. The sun is just starting to glare over the roofs of the buildings, glowing a pinkish color across the sky. Calvin opens the door to his bookshop, a cozy little haven filled with overstuffed armchairs, classic books, and the faint smell of old documents lying around. He opens his phone and stumbles across a news post. "New bookstore expected to be built on Maple Street." the title said. He frowned as he saw that post, but decided to worry about it later.

(BRUH THEY BLOCKED IT ON MY CHROMEBOOK AGAIN :(
Sophie jerks awake, realizing she's still in the armchair she sat in the night before to read a book. She stands up to check the clock, noticing the morning light. "Dang, I fell asleep reading again..." She sighs, flipping her 'closed' sign to 'open', then going through the aisles to clean up any book messes. -
Calvin picked up a scented spray and began spritzing it around his bookstore, believing that a pleasant aroma would encourage customers to stay longer. After that, he flipped his "Closed" sign to "Open." Finally, he arranged his desk to create a more manageable and organized workspace for the day ahead.

Sophie returned from fixing the books, sitting back down in the armchair and taking her phone out to see the news. "A new bookstore...?" She mumbles. "Whatever, probably not important." She put her phone back away, stood up, going to her window to look out at the other bookshop.
